Tickets to Ride by Mark Rogalski

Welcome to an amusement park unlike any you've seen before. From Alligators in the Air, through to the Zebra Zeppelin, the reader is provided with an elegant ticket that admits them onto rides at turns thrilling, mysterious, spectacular-and always breathtaking to look at. In fact, picking a favorite amongst these 26 stunning illustrations proved so difficult, we've decided to release this book with six different jackets, each highlighting a different piece of this astonishing artwork. And even after the first perusal, both children and adults alike will go back over these images again and again in search of the items hidden cleverly within them. At the end of the book, a detailed map of this incredible park is also included for hours more of fascinating fun. Tickets to Ride is the debut of a major new talent in children's picture books. We invite you to tender your ticket and come along for a remarkable ride.

I am a huge fan of Rogalski's work. I have given this particular book as a gift several times and finally decided to add it to my personal collection. The drawings are wonderfully engaging and the poems are an effective tool in learning the alphabet. Young ones love to find the ducky hidden in the pictures.

My 8 year old took this book into school to share with her class. She described the book as a guide to the amusements in the 'author's' amusement park, an alphabet book and an I Spy book. She and her 5 year old brother enjoy looking at each amazingly illustrated page to find the cleverly hidden duck and number. Adults and children will enjoy this book for its imaginative narrative and illustrations.

Mr. Rogalski's amusement park takes the ABC's to a higher, and more enjoyable level then one can imagine. A visual delight and wonderful read for young and 'old' alike. Your grandchildren, and their parents alike, will revel in their ride through this amazing park. Witness the alphabet as never before. A superb addition to the library of the young, and also, for those of us who wish we were.

This book is absolutely wonderful. I love alphabet books. I have a 5 month old (who loves looking at and touching the pictures), and I have a 3 1/2 year old, who I have read this book to so many times, she can practically recite the wording (or at least make something up on her own). I am buying this for friends and relatives for the holiday season. It's obvious Mark Rogalski put his heart and soul into this book. It's meant to be read and enjoyed by everyone of ALL ages.
