A devastating terrorist action catapults him from a world of moral certainty and decisive orders into the shadowy realm of espionage, where ambiguity is the only rule. His new mission: hunt down those responsible for the greatest tragedy in the history of the US Special Ops and bring them to justice.
But how does a man torn between duty and revenge walk the line and preserve his soul?
As Dempsey struggles with the games of spies, the case propels him across the globe in a desperate effort to prevent a new, horrifying attack on American soil.
Once, John Dempsey followed orders blindly. Now he sees behind the curtain, and the security of the civilized world rests on one question: Can a Tier One Navy SEAL adapt and become the world’s most lethal spy?

After reading the background of both of these two Authors, you see they have the experience and skill to write such an amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed the Intensity of this story. It’s full of great characters that are quite diverse, and it has an Interesting plot to top it off. David Arnon, Israel’s Ambassador was certainly justified in not believing that Iran had suddenly turned a new page and are were going to become a placid ally, even though Iran’s Ambassador Masoud Modiri was doing a good job of convincing the US. As far as he’s concerned the rest of the world might be fooled, but after Iran had been caught lying so many times in the past, he was sure they were up to something. Iran had every reason to want to change with their inflation sitting at 42% and the majority of the population were sick of being poor. However, he was sure there was still that radical element that lurked in the background wanting to see the state of Israel blown from the face of the earth. Jack Kemper was started to feel every one of his 38 years on this earth, and it’s justified being part of the Elite Tier One Seal Team where he is jumping out of helicopters onto container ships at sea. This is where he found himself on his latest assignment on the Iranian Ship the Darya Ye Nour, where they were tasked with finding a possible WMD of the chemical verity. Through intelligence before they arrived they expected to come up against some resistance, but it still came as a shock when two of the Seals are shot. Jack takes a bullet to the back, and he is lucky to be wearing his vest, but the bullet has still injured him to the point of probably not being able to do his job in the same capacity again. Masoud’s brother who works for the Iranian Intelligence – Vevak, has to tell him that the Seals have attacked the Darya Ye Nour, and killed his eldest son who was trying to protect the twenty four Sayyad-2 Anti-Aircraft Missiles bound for Aden. They need the missiles in Yemen to take out the American Drones that were causing havoc and killing some of the Al-Qaeda leaders. Now Masoud would like his brother to help him seek revenge on the US, and make them pay for his son’s death. If you enjoy Action Thrillers then you definitely enjoy this book. There wasn’t a part of this story that I didn’t enjoy. Easily worth the 5 star rating.
Jack Kemper is part of a Tier 1 seal team. He is on a covert mission and everyone in both teams involved is killed except Jack. After healing from a back injury with complications, Jack is given the new name John Dempsey and a new team, code name Emerald, to go after those that killed his last team. But John is starting to learn that there is more going on behind the scenes than the instructions that he is being told. John is going to have to start balancing between revenge and the mission. This is a great, brutal story. When you think of Seal teams you think about the top of the line soldiers and to think about how a mission could go wrong and this book gets really scary. There are some very intense fight scenes and you feel like you are right there in the thick of it. You can tell the authors have military experience, it comes through in their writing and with all the acronyms. Mind you if you get confused there is an acronym glossary. This is a fast paced, action filled story. If you like military thrillers this is one book that I would recommend you read. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I received Tier One for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
