A thoroughly enjoyable read: a romance set against a dramatic landscape, with survival and environmental issues at risk. What a great movie this would make! The stakes are high, the characters believable and compelling, the plot intricate enough to keep the pages turning. I did skip the sex scenes, though, as the physiological minutiae seemed to diminish the chemistry between the protagonists.
