Billionaire businessman Logan Mitchell is an empath. While his talent of reading people's emotions has come in handy in the business world, it's about to drive him insane. His ability triggers unbearable OCD attacks that leave him counting and cleaning until he collapses from exhaustion. If his psychic power doesn't make him crazy, the ghost that's haunting him soon will.
Psychic medium Allison Gray is drawn to Logan the minute she meets him. She shares his empathic abilities, and she can help him control the constant barrage of emotions. But a harrowing incident from her past has left her terrified of spirits, and the ghost in Logan's mansion is doing everything in its power to keep her away.
Logan has given up hope of ever having a normal life, until he meets Allison. But the ghost doesn't want to share him. Even if she can overcome her fears, loving him will mean risking her life.

To Catch a Spirit is very well-written. The author has a writing style that quickly draws a reader in and doesn't let go. The characters are so well done that you can't help but empathize with them. I thoroughly enjoyed Logan and Allison's story and Pulkinen's storytelling made me feel like I was there. I would easily recommend this one to anybody that enjoys a good ghost story.
I thought this book was great. It was addicting in a very subtle way. The blurb sounded good that I had to try it out. Once I started I could not put it down until I finished it. The writing was amazing and I loved the story line. I really liked that we heard both Logan and Allison's thoughts both good and bad throughout the book. Both carry baggage and do not want a relationship but end up in one despite themselves. They sabotage themselves a few times that made me groan. I basically read the book and laughed and moaned over it. The hallmarks of a good romance book with a hint of the paranormal. Loved the ghost! I received a copy for free and this is my honest review - Well worth reading if you like romance stories that are not all happy happy happy but the characters prevail in the end.
Allison is a psychic and a healer, she has had some issues in her past and doesnt allow her self to get close to a man. Logan is empathic but doenst know a lot about it. he has visions and has locked himself in a playboy image to keep from gettign hurt and his visions to come true. Bothe Allison and Logan feel somehtign when they meet each other. This story hasa avery good storyline and the characters are all pretty amazing if not too good to be true. but that is what romantic fiction is right? I am going to say what I didnt like aobut this story first then go on with what i did. First off there was a lot of repetitveness. I felt like i was reading ghe same thing over and over quite a bit, and there were a lot of things happen that did not add at all to the story. I felt this story could have been cut almost in half and been mch better. Having said that, the subject of the empath and physci andgoshts were all very interesting the sex was hot ( again very repetitive and a the romance a bit lovey dovey too mushy but all in all a very good basic romance wiht a paranormal twist . I do recomend this book to paranormal romance lovers especilly if you like a basic boy meets girl falls in love Happy ever after story. Recommendations: If you like a good paranormal romance, that is hot and sexy, has natural healing, spirits, hot sexy rich men, Mediums, and a great suspenseful story this one is for you!
Allison accompanies her friend Tina to a party at Logan Mitchell’s home. Allison is her wingman as Tina networks and looks for slutty sex. Allison does not have a good impression of the people who attend these types of parties. Looking across the room she makes eye contact with Logan and feels a connection with him. Running from him she meets a woman in white who is crying. Allison tries to help her but the emotions she picks up from this woman are so strong that Allison is unable to stay or help the woman in Carrie Pulkinen’s TO CATCH A SPIRIT. Logan tries to find Allison but he has his own issues to deal with. Allison and Logan are great characters. I like that both come with baggage and flaws. Allison carries guilt from the death of her parents that she has not come to grips with. Logan is obsessive-compulsive. Watching each try to deal with their problems alone is tough. As a reader, you know they will work better together and you want that so bad, you root for them. I groaned as they both try to be altruistic and let the other go. I wanted them together because they worked so well as one. The story was interesting. Allison is psychic who has dealt with the dead in the past so they will pass over. A bad experience the previous year has kept her from helping the dead as she helps the living. But she has to face that past as well as her other issues. Logan also has to face his past and make peace with it. He has to deal with his OCD and suicidal thoughts as well as a ghost in his house. Neither character is perfect but they are perfect together. I hope this is the first of a series. I would like to know what happens with the secondary characters and I want to know that Allison and Logan make it as a couple.
