AN UNWILLING BRIDE
Proud, passionate Lady Gillian MacGuire is known as the Spitfire of the Isles. She can take care of herself and hasn't yet met a man who could impress her . . . especially not Donell MacDonnell, the odious older man she was promised to five years ago. She's been dreading his return, but when her intended comes back to claim her, she's stunned at how different he seems. The man she swore she would spurn forever now invades her thoughts, her dreams, and her heart.
AN UNEXPECTED DESIRE
When Roag agrees to assume the identity of the recently deceased MacDonnell chieftain, no one warns him that the man was betrothed. As a member of the King's Fenris Guard, he is oath-bound to embark on whatever mission the crown gives him. Of course, he was expecting a battle-not a bride. Yet after sharing one kiss with Lady Gillian, the powerful Highlander becomes the one seduced and captivated. Now giving in to temptation could ruin them both . . .

I loved that another one of our boys found a good woman to love and be loved by. I shed many tears when young Hamish was reunited with his family. It was written so beautifully. I can't wait to see what happens with the other boys. Thank for your beautiful words.
Lady Gillian MacGuire is dreading the return of her betrothed. Promised to Donell MacDonnell five years ago, she is hoping that she can talk him into releasing her from the betrothal when he returns. But when she is finally face to face with Donell, he doesn't seem to be the same man. Where the Donell of five years ago repulsed her, this feels nothing but attraction for the Donell before her now. Roag the Bear has taken on the identity of the deceased Donell MacDonnell because of a mission for the Fenris Guard. He didn't know that the man had a fiance waiting for his return. But after one kiss, Roag is smitten and not ready to give up Gillian. What will happen when the truth about his identity is revealed? I really enjoyed this book. I was intrigued by Roag after reading To Love a Highlander and I was not disappointed by Welfonder's story for him. Roag had gone undercover many times for the Fenris, but this time was different. He knew that he had a job to do, but because of the way he came to feel for Gillian, he had a hard time justifying his lying to her. It was interesting reading his back in forth with himself. He wanted to reveal the truth to Gillian, but he wasn't allowed to reveal his mission to anyone outside the Fenris group. Gillian had to be a strong woman to survive growing up with so many brothers. I think her upbringing helped her to be the perfect match for Roag. She knew upon meeting Roag that he wasn't who he said he was and she didn't stay quiet about it. I can't wait to read the rest of the stories about the members of the Fenris Guard! Thanks go out to Grand Central Publishing via NetGalley for a copy of the book in exchange of an honest review.

I absolutely loved her first book To love a Highlander in this new series Scandalous Scots. I adored her novella Once Upon a Highland Christmas, an introduction, which I found so captivating. She has done it again with her second story To Desire a Highlander, that be read alone! Just follow Roag and Gillian journey, you will love them and won’t be disappointed! This fantastic tale is filled with tenderness, adventure, intrigue and magic. The plot was well developed and fast paced! I will definitely be reading more books written by Sue-Ellen Welfonder.
