This is a very good book by Julie Benson... This is Book 1 and does a great job of setting up Book 2, "To Catch a Texas Cowboy".. This is not a long book (192 Nook pages) but a cute love story between Cassie, a NYC artist and Ty, a Texas rancher and important man in town... Cassie is called to Texas because her sister and brother-in-law were killed in a plane crash which their 6 year old daughter Ella survived.. She is called to care for Ella and run her sisters B & B.. Ty is Ella's financial guardian which throws Cassie and Ty together.. The supporting cast is super good and you get to meet them all... This has a touch of mystery in that there is some pretty serious counterfeiting going on in town... Lots to hold your interest in this one... I am not telling you more except it is well worth your time and money.

To Love a Texas Cowboy is my first book by Julie Benson. Ty and Cassie's story is sweet. I enjoyed the characters and the story itself. There were a lot of editing issues in the book that made it a rather choppy read, which was sad because the story was solid. Ms Benson supplied drama, humor and sizzle in this story. To Love A Texas Cowboy is book 1 of the Wishing, Texas Series. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I would have given 5 stars, but it really needed better editing, there were a lot of mistakes.

Cassie is now living in Wishing, Texas. She is caring for her orphaned niece and trying to run her late sister's Inn. She's feeling stressed. Ella needs her. Unfortunately she has to deal with one opinionated cowboy. Ty is in charge of their money. He's handsome and kind, but why is he so stubborn? Cassie is a free spirit. She is overwhelmed with her new life. She doesn't know how to take care of a child. She's so tired that she has been unable to create new art work. Ty jumps in to help. He loves Ella and he wants to get to know her Aunt. I liked Ty. He's a hard working man who silently carries the world on his shoulders. He's keeper. I loved seeing Cassie and Ty grow close. She adds spice to his life. These two make a great couple. I wanted them to be a family. To Love a Texas Cowboy pulled at my heartstrings. This story is well plotted. It is filled with great characters and sparkling dialogue. This is a great start to the Wishing, Texas series. I can't wait for the next book.

Liked but didn't love.

Who doesn't love a cowboy? This was a fun sweet romance that could have used some better proof reading/editing; missing words and punctuation are the only negatives that I have

Cassie and Ty both want what's best for Ella, but they each have different ideas of what to do. Cassie has sacrificed her job--Art--and live in NY to run the B&B, but she's not sure it can sustain the life for Ella. Ty is ever-responsible, and shrewd with money, not giving Cassie much room to make decisions. But an accident forces them to work and live together. Giving in to temptation. Lots of tension to fuel the fire, but love wins!

Lindsey Ballard unexpectedly calls off her wedding and while running away ends up running into the man looking to dig up her family secret. Myles Emery is writing a tell all book about country star Lara Kane who happens to be Lindsey's step-grandma. The two have an instant attraction that can get both of them into trouble. I really liked this book. I was hooked at the first couple pages and didn't want to stop and was only sad when it was over.

Ty and Cassie are thrown together due to very unfortunate circumstances. Ella is the little girl stuck in the middle, and no matter how stubborn both Ty and Cassie can be, they both just want what's best for Ella. I really enjoyed this story. Ty and Cassie were great characters, and both were very strong and determined. Ty has more of a controlling streak, but he means well and has a heart of gold. I'm looking forward to reading more about Wishing, Texas as the people there seem so fun already.

I enjoyed this story but I really enjoyed Cassie's strong personality. It paired nicely with Ty's. The snarkiness, bickering and ridiculous things they fought over had me cracking up. I liked the wishing well aspect, it gives hope and another dimension to the story. I look forward to the next book in the series. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The plot and characters of To Love a Texas Cowboy really touched me. With humor, heart, and a lot of hope, Julie writes a tale about significant life changes, finding the positive, and finding the unexpected at the best time. I really liked Ty and Cassie as the hero and heroine in To Love a Texas Cowboy. They are so different, and who knows if they'd even be in each other's worlds if not for the extraordinary circumstances they find themselves in. Cassie, Ella's Aunt, has significant changes in her life that she in no way can prepare for when she suddenly becomes guardian to orphaned Ella. I really felt for her, because I really felt like no one understood what she was going though. Not only was she suddenly guardian to a little girl as a single parent, she'd lost her sister, and had to up root her New York life to move to Wishing, Texas. I didn't feel like Cassie was given enough credit by those around her, and this really made me want to stand in her corner and praise her! Even her career has had to take another path...and Cassie handles it all the best she can, even if it is a huge struggle and stressor for her. Cassie came across to me as brave, strong, smart, and she tired hard, never giving up. Cassie's character went through tremendous growth in To Love a Texas Cowboy, and I liked going along with her on this journey. Ty was a bit hard to like at first. He is Ella's financial guardian. He also comes across as very judgemental of Cassie. He is stubborn and serious, and his character goes through even more growth in To Love a Texas Cowboy. Ty and Cassie have no choice but to interact. The attraction to one another is something neither expects or really wants at this time in their lives. To me it felt like these characters really helped each other and unwittingly drew strength from one another. Whether they wanted to acknowledge it or not, they are good for each other. Ella is a sweet child who pulls Ty and Cassie together...because she is the most important part of this story. Ella is the common denominator between Ty and Cassie. The unexpected, turbulent relationship that develops between them is realistic with the ups and downs they go through, and very intense. Can it last though? I just really enjoyed this story. The complexities of Cassie, Ty and Ella's lives are ones that easy found their way into my heart and made me really feel for these characters and what all of them were going through. Julie's smooth style and well paced writing made To Love a Texas Cowboy really pull at my heart and it was an easy to book to fall into and feel a part of. I'd recommend it to any romance reader!

Wishing, Texas has a wishing well; but legend says it only works if the wish is for someone else. Aubrey Rogers makes a wish for her brother to have the kind of marriage he deserves, a happy marriage. In the prologue we are introduced to Ty, Zane, Cooper and A.J, friends and pals from their first meeting at Texas A&M. This book is the beginning of a series of each of these exceptional men. This book is the tale of Ty Bennett, Ella a six-year-old left parent-less, and her Aunt Cassie. Ty was left as Ella’s financial guardian and her Aunt Cassie has custody. These two will butt heads and disagree on how to raise Ella as they have different points of view. Ty is a grad of Texas A&M, he is a disciplined, everything in a row guy, financially smart, and a hard-working cowboy; Cassis is a free spirit, out of control, an artist, and a wisp in the wind. Cassie and Ty get along like two speeding trucks headed straight at each other, head on; compromise doesn’t seem to be in their vocabulary. They snip and snark at each other and can agree on very little, yet the sexual attraction is definitely there. Cassie’s conversations with herself about Ty were hilarious. These two just don’t seem to mix well for raising a child, but each wants to do what is best for Ella, and to help a wounded child deal with loss of her parents; you will find love has a way of bringing things right in the end. Ty begins to see the real Cassie under all the stuff she throws up to hide behind. Cassie has insecurities of never being quite good enough to measure up to her perfect sister or what people thought she should be, of not being able to parent Ella as she should as she is not structured, she gets lost in her art. and Ella's inheritance from her parents is a Bed and Breakfast Cassie must run; for Pete’s sake she sat the oven on fire and can't cook. Through all the doubts and fears the attraction between Ty and Cassie is ramping up hotter and hotter. Cassie begins to see the real Ty, dominating, strong, shoot from the hip guy; as well as a hunk, he is a rock to lean on. He has patience with Ella, great advice, and he can cook of all things. What a hero. Ms. Benson did a wonderful job of creating and keeping the attraction between the two at a high peak. She created the perfect male hero that every woman would love to have for her own, then matched him with the perfect woman for him. I loved watching Cassie grow to a confident woman, and Ty letting go his trust issues. Ms. Benson took two people who seemed to have it all but dealing with scars, and created a whole family unit. Cassie and Ty will face adversity and come out the other side with a love of a life time. This was a warm wonderful love story. I recommend this book for young adults to adults due to sexual content. I received this book from the publisher and Netgalley in return for an honest review.

Rating 4.5 This is a story of coping with grief and unexpected parenthood, getting to know people beyond your initial impressions and helping others. Set in Wishing, Texas, with beautiful countryside and a magical wishing well, this story has well developed characters with whom it is easy to empathise. It has humour as well as grief, some great retorts between the two main characters and their love for the orphaned child is key to it all. There are dramatic confrontations and unexpected events to keep the reader guessing what will happen next. Well written, highly entertaining and a real page turner, this is a great story to get lost in! Following the tragic accident which killed her sister and brother-in-law, artist Cassie Reynolds moves from her home in New York to Wishing, Texas, to bring up her orphaned six year old niece, Ella. Having lost both her parents, Ella is traumatised, stubborn and refuses to speak to anyone. Cassie has had advice from specialists to try to help her but coping with her own grief and suddenly becoming a single Mum are dramatic changes in her own life that she is also struggling with. Ella’s financial guardian is the handsome local rancher, Ty Barnett and Cassie feels she can do nothing right in his eyes. They clash over everything and anything but both want the best for Ella and hate and love are, after all, just opposite faces of the same coin! The fireworks between Ty and Cassie are highly explosive and it is only as they get to know each other better that they find they also have a chemical attraction that is irresistible. Can they stop being so independent and learn to love and share with each other? Will their obstinacy prevent their love developing? Can they help give Ella a new happy ever after family existence to help her cope with that she lost with the death of her parents? A highly entertaining read I have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys a great romance. Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

To Love a Texas Cowboy is a stellar find. The important things that matter are family, friends and every moment that you are given with the people you love. Julie Benson does a beautiful job of pointing that out. With lovable characters, important life lessons and wonderful writing the Wishing, Texas series is off to a great beginning. I received a copy of this story for an honest review.

Ty and Cassie's relations is thrown together by Cassie's sister and her husband passing away and leaving guardianship to Cassie and financial responsibility to Ty for Ella. Cassie is a creative artist and moves from New York to Texas to not upset her niece's life, which in itself is a huge adjustment. Moving from artist to bed and breakfast owner, especially for a lady that is not organized or domestic. Destiny between Guardians! The emotional ups and downs Ty and Cassie go through are so heart felt and moving. I am looking forward to AJ, Zane and Cooper's stories. I received an ARC for an hones and fair review.

She’d never understood the lure of the west, or why so many women went all warm and gooey inside over cowboys. For a woman who wasn’t his type, she occupied his thoughts a lot and kept him awake more than sleep one night. Fate brought Cassie Reynolds and Ty Barnett together. They were both left in charge of raising Ella after her parents died in a plane crash. They will be linked for the next 12 years when Ella turns 18. Will they be able to get along without pushing each other’s buttons? Cassie doesn’t know anything about running a B&B and she really doesn’t want to live in the house where her sister used to live. She thinks it would be best to find someplace else to raise Ella. But Ty doesn’t want to hear that. He needs the B&B to be open because it helps his ranch business too. Ty is a popular guy in town and everyone loves him. He runs a ranch and the Chamber of Commerce and he loves kids. What woman wouldn’t want that? Plus he is there to step up and help Cassie running the B&B and take care of Ella when Cassie gets hurt. But when Ty needs help, he is too stubborn to accept it. Will Cassie be able to help Ty with his struggling ranch like he helped her with the B&B or will this be the end of what the relationship they had created? This is a wonderful romance. I can’t wait to read the following books.

Cassie and Ty are in a difficult situation, taking care of a little traumatized Ella, while mourning for Ella's parents. They tackle the situation and responsibility in an admirable way, despite the doubts Cassie have about her ability to be a parent. The fireworks between Ty and Cassie are amazing. Though they drive each other insane, they have a spark between them, if you would call a bomb a spark... The chemistry is palpable, but as they get to know each other, they find many things in common, and find a peace within each other's company. There are any funny moments as they try to adjust to the new life, moments that make you sigh, and times that break your heart a bit. Both Cassie and Ty are stubborn, prideful, independent, and used to take care of things themselves, not to ask help from anyone, and that is the biggest problem between them. I enjoyed this story, it is one that left a smile on my face. It has charismatic characters, interesting concepts and events, good friends, and life on a Texas B&B and ranch, making it all an entertaining combination ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side
