Well written and interesting. I would have given it five stars but I felt like it ended prematurely. I would have liked to have an epilogue to tell what happened after the first year with both the author and the students. However, it was a good book and it kept my interest. At first, it was a little difficult to keep the characters straight, but, in the end, it didn't really matter. I would have liked a little more fleshing out of the characters.

I had heard about the movie but never watched it. I was so glad to have read the book first. This is one I would love to add to my personal bookshelf.

The novel To Sir, With Love was a highly inspirational novel. It is full of positive and negative events that in the end molded mere children into finely tuned adults.

Have you ever wondered why we are on earth? What is our purpose for being here? How can we use our experience and talents to encourage others in a positive way and why should we? This book answered my questions. It makes you realize that everything in this world is possible and that nothing nor anyone can get in our way. It takes you back to history in a way that will give you goosebumps!

To Sir, with Love was a well written and discriptive book showing how students with hardships can grow from a new teacher. Recommended to any student that is struggling in school and seeking that teacher who's inspiring.

In the beginning it was hard to get into the book, but if you keep reading you will find it more interesting and easier to read. You will start to get into the characters because you will never know what will happen next or understand what they are going through.

This book is about a teacher, Braithwaite, who didn't have any experience teaching but little by little he got involved with his students and their lives. The students got to know him and trust in him. Braithwaite made a big change in their lives.

We really liked the book! This book kind of reminds us of the movie 'Lean On Me'.In each situation there was one teacher who changed the minds of students and gave them hope for their future. We would recommend this book to students in college prep classes, or anyone who enjoys reading because it gives you a different insight in the ways some teachers perform and believe in students.

To be honest, I do not like to read. I felt that the movie was better than the book. I am more of a visual learner and often get distracted during reading. I do recommend the story to people if they are into a motivational story because E. R. Braithwaite is the man.

A well educated teacher takes on a class of students and shows them there's more to life than just being a hoodlum. Great details. It really gets you involved in the book, and it's like you're in the story. The author really wants the reader to understand his and the students' experience.

It is a good book. I will recommend it to all the teachers to read. He used himself as an example to show how teachers should act towards their students when it comes to learning, school work and if possible their lives outside school. You will like it.

This book was a great read. It shows how the teacher and students change, and it shows the relationship that a teacher has with his students. Mr. Braithwaite came into the school with no experience with teaching and had a group of kids with a tough lifestyle. He took an interest in their world and taught them strategies to live in the real world. His teaching wasn¿t always in the books he took it up and beyond, and got through to them emotionally by teaching them how to dress and act respectfully towards others. Most teachers don¿t go that deep, but he really reached out to the students and ended up being a savior for most of them.

This is an enjoyable book that talks about education, a teacher who started working in a school wanting to quit but,as time went on he started to love his job especially his students. It also shows how a relationship between a student and a teacher should be. In addition it shows how the students got to a point of having respect for their teacher Mr. Braithwaite and futhermore got to love him.

Growing up as a child you learn to respect others and most of all yourself. Where these kids grew up they never even heard the word 'respect'. That all changed the day a man named Braithwaite walked into that classroom at Greenslade Secondary School. A lot of times students believe that teachers are only there to bore you with lectures, but Braithwaite was the complete opposite. He went out of his way to care for them and to teach them everything they need to know about life when know one else was there for them. These students were so lucky that this man walked into their life when he did, or they really would have no idea what to do about their future. This is an inspirational story about how a new teacher comes into a classroom of uncontrollable students and changes their lives.

To Sir, With Love by E. R. Braithwaite is an easy read and an great page turner. The writing style in To Sir, With Love is very descriptive you can really understand and see where Braithwaite and his students are coming from. Most of the characters are very likable, and you start to grow with them. One can really relate to this book on many levels, even if you are sixty years old or in high school. In the book Braithwaite talks a lot about how he teaches and how he uses his own experiences to teach his students.

We both liked this book. We liked how Braithwaite came into the school and the students gave him no respect, and then at the end they cared and respected him.We liked how he taught them how to be more polite and the way to respect people. He stood up for himself and what he believed in. It was interesting to see him teach in a school without a degree in education. He based all of his lessons on events that happened in his life, and I think it helped with teaching the students because they could understand him better. We would recommend this book.

We thought To Sir, With Love was excellent in describing the student-teacher relationship. This book is a good way for students to understand the way teachers value their opinions. Mr. Braithwaite makes it clear that students can feel comfortable talking to him about outside problems. Throughout the book you start to see the changes between Mr. Braithwaite and his students. Not only do they learn how to respect him, but they respect themselves as well. This book keeps you interested from beginning to end and there is always something new happening.

To us it started off pretty slow but we didn¿t find reading very entertaining but as we read on the book started getting more interesting. To Sir, with Love is a great book for teachers and students. Mr. Braithwaite showed both point of views in the reading. He was an outstanding teacher that took part in the student¿s personal lives. He made sure that they can succeed in the real world and not just in school. We gave this book a recommended rating because of it being a true story and how hard the teacher worked with the students.

I think TO Sir With Love is a good book. I like the way he choose to put himself out there no matter what it took.He was a teacher that stood up for what was right. It was like to me he had a goal sat in mind and to me if he didn't reach his goal I think it would have hurted him.

To me it started off pretty slow but I dont find reading very entertaining to me but as I read on the book started getting more interesting and I think how Mr.Braitwaite handled the misbehaved childeren was a true sign of devotion and a true sign of leadership. This book makes you think twice about how you treat your teachers and the respect you pay them, but I would give this book an excellent rating because of it being a true story and the courage this teacher had to be involved with such poor minded students.

Hi! This book was just an exquiste and profund look at youth. I've had a really fortunate childhood in which I have had guidence and direction that gives me a bright look of the future. But the children in this book did not. When this extraordinary man and teacher comes into their lives he works to make a difference and give them a chance to have rewarding lives. Growing up is the hardest thing a person does in their life. And I liked that he brought out that despite the work he did some children wouldn't take his lessions to heart. This book rings true to life and if you don't believe me go to a local High School.
