Overview

Spring’s in the air. While the sun shines in Timber Springs, snow falls on the Snowy Range, and trouble’s brewing in the meadows. The area’s new game warden, Steve Mitchell launches his first wildlife investigation of the season but the trouble follows him—straight to town.

Rachel Fitzgerald’s on Spring Break. Or at least she’s trying. Between paperwork, and harassing phone calls, she may as well have stayed in her classroom. So much for relaxation. A ‘chance’ meeting with her brother’s old roommate offers her weary soul a shred of hope, but she discovers love, like life, isn’t easy.

He talks with the wisdom of the Lord but rejects the future. She wants to soar with the eagles but walks alone. And trusting God proves to be more of a challenge than ever before…

About the Author

Renee Blare’s nose has been buried in a book for as long as she can remember. Raised in Louisiana and Wyoming, she started writing poetry in junior high school and that, as they say, was that. After having her son, a desire to attend pharmacy school sent her small family to the awesome town of Laramie, Wyoming. She’s been counting pills ever since. While writing’s her first love, well, after the Lord and her husband, she also likes to fish and hunt as well as pick away on her classical guitar. Nestled against the Black Hills with her husband, crazy old dog and ornery cat, she serves the community of northeastern Wyoming as a pharmacist and pens her stories about struggling Christians as they travel along the journeys of their lives—keeping things interesting with action and intrigue, of course. She loves to interact with readers and invites you check her website, blog, and social media.

To Soar on Eagle’s Wings by Renee Blare is a light, easy Christian romance that does not disappoint. Rachel Fitzgerald is a high school teacher, who feels that she may like to explore another career. On spring break with her family and pastor father, she has time to rest and reflect more on her future. Her best friend, Melissa, gives her support and advice and provides stability. Her brothers add humor and loving support in this time of reflection about her life. Her place of refuge and peace is in the mountains, and she loves nature and is inspired spiritually there. The best friend of her pharmacist brother, Steven Mitchell, has recently assumed the position of game warden there. Rachel and Steven have known each other for years through her brother, but now their relationship seems to be changing into a more serious one. Rachel’s new relationship with Steven, her decisions about her career, and dash of suspense, involving her special retreat provide a good story. This is a warm and light romance that is easy to read. I recommend this book. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

Renee Blare: To Soar on Eagles Wings To Soar on Eagles Wings By Renee Blare is the first book in the Snowy Range Chronicles. Rachel is a bit independent and do it on my own kinda gal. Yet, She longs for someone to soar with her, like the Eagle she loves to watch. She is on Christmas break from her teaching job and trying to enjoy some quiet time, when adventure finds her. Steve has been assigned to the area as the new park ranger. He believes in GOD, but can't seem to trust the future to him. When Rachel and Steves paths cross things get a bit lively. Will the dangers keep them apart? If you like a little action with a little romance this is the series for you! Renee does a great job of mixing just the right amount of both and keeping you turning pages. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I give this five lively stars.

This is a simple, Christian romance. An easy read, not too complicated. The good, the characters were easy to understand, for the most part. The bad, too many unresolved issues. You were given some details that the main characters friend had a secret, but that was never resolved in my opinion. That was the main unresolved issue for me. The story also jumped a bit for me. Overall, this was an enjoyable book. Good, clean fiction. No real surprises and enjoya ble. A good book for a teen or young adult. This book was given to me by Bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review.

To Soar on Eagle’s Wings is a great short novel in the Christian Romance genre. I read it in one night. There is a bit of suspense. Rachel is in her first year of teaching high school. She has several brothers including a twin. The romance develops between Rachel and a friend of one of her brothers. Family relationships, a good girl friend, romance; a Christian setting with a bit of suspense thrown it…this book has it all. I recommend this as a good read in this genre. I received a copy of the book from the author by way of The Book Club Network (bookfun.org) in exchange for an honest review.

Renee Blare biography taken from Amazon.com. Renee was “raised in Louisiana and Wyoming, Renee started writing poetry in junior high school and that, as they say, was that. She loves to interact with readers and invites you check out her website, blog, and social media.” Renee’s writing style is delightful. She writes in a way that captures me at page one and this interest lasts through to the end. In To Soar on Eagles Wings, Steve Mitchell and Rachel Fitzgerald’s lives intersect. Rachel is a teacher, who is on spring break and is trying to relax. Steve is a wildlife warden and is on his first investigation. So you think, how can these two people’s lives intersect? Well, Rachel loves the mountains, the hawks, the deer and often takes off to bask in God’s beauty. This is Steve’s second home due to his job and his love of nature. This book has a bit of romance, a bit of “what is going to happen next” and a bit of God working his wonders in all of our lives. I was disappointed at the end of the book that I did not learn the answers to the questions I had about Rachel’s family. I consider this wonderful writing. I will definitely be ready to read Ms. Blare’s next book in the Snowy Range Chronicles. I was given this book, by bookfun.org in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone faces some kind of loss during his/her lifetime. In this story, Rachel Fitzgerald, a young high school teacher, recently suffered her mother’s death and her twin’s rejection. Although Rachel had lived in the same small Wyoming town her entire life, being the pastor’s daughter caused her to be friendly to everyone, but close to few. When Steve Mitchell, the new Game Warden and old college roommate of Rachel’s older brother, settled in town, Rachel sensed an immediate connection. Could anything come of it? Renee Blare, the author, has developed characters that are full of heartfelt emotions – yet with human flaws and strengths, and intertwined, she has painted beautiful pictures of the Wyoming landscape which takes the reader right there. This fictional inspirational book includes intrigue, romance, and family dynamics. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend it as a good, afternoon easy-read.

To Soar on Eagle's Wings is a story filled with romance, intrigue and a family's turmoil and love. Rachel is still grieving her mother's death and has decided she does not like being a teacher. Steve who is now a wildlife agent in the Snowy Mountains of Wyoming has loved his best friend's sister from a distance since she was young. Things get dangerous when Steve learns why a moose calf is found alone at Crystal Lake. I really liked all of the characters in this book. It is written in a way that holds your attention. I would recommend this contemporary book to others. I received this ebook from www.bookfun.org in exchange for my honest opinion.

To Soar On Eagle's Wings by Renee Blare is a simple endearing romance novel set in beautiful Wyoming which the author does an excellent job painting a picture with words for the reader. The main characters, Rachel Fitzgerald, a pastor's daughter from a large family, and Steve Mitchell, an only child, met when Rachel was a teenager, and he was college roommate to her older brother. Now, Steve is back in her hometown as the new game warden. Will their relationship develop into more than friendship? Rachel faces several struggles – the fairly recent death of her mother, the relationship with her father, siblings, and best friend, and a struggle with her career as a teacher throughout the story. Among the twists and turns of the plot, Rachel learns to grasp onto God's Word letting him lead her life and "soar with eagles." I would like to have read more about her twin brother Michael's life and her best friend's 'incident," the makings for future books? I definitely want to read if this book is the beginning of a series. I received a copy from the author and publisher of The Book Club Network in exchange for an honest review.

Rachel Fitzgerald struggles with the path of solitude she’s taken. While from a large family, since the death of her mother, relationships with some of her siblings have splintered. She seeks the calmness of Crystal Lake and the Snowy Range to sort out her life. During spring break from her teaching job she ventures to the mountain, where she meets the new game warden, Steve Mitchell who happens to be her brother’s old roommate. The remembrance of the crush she had on him when she was sixteen sends electricity through her. Once Steve is certain Rachel has headed down the mountain on her snowmobile he investigates a wildlife situation which embroils into danger for both of them. He implores her to trust God and not be so independent, but he doesn’t trust enough to build a future. Ms. Blare delivers a powerful story of action and suspense against the backdrop of the splendor of Wyoming. Her beautifully painted scenes and sweet love story mingled with suspense and true to life problems makes this novel a pleasurable experience. The plot takes a while to find footing but worth hanging in there to the finish.

Perfect Combo! Romance and mystery are a perfect combination, and To Soar on Eagle’s Wings is just that. I was drawn in immediately as the author introduced the background of the relationship between the characters at the very beginning of the story. It then moved to the present which set the backdrop for the rest of the story. Although the first few chapters seemed to move a little slow, they were crucial to the rest of the story. And wow, once it took off, it really took off. I was turning pages as fast as I could and sitting on the edge of my chair. It had me guessing up to the end. But don’t be fooled by the action, intrigue, and mystery. Renee Blare also masterfully combines sweet romance, faith, and hope in with the mystery and intrigue making To Soar on Eagle’s Wings a perfect combination. **I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading To Soar On Eagle's Wings by Author Renee Blare. This book is so interesting and I was so involved in the storyline, the next thing I knew I was at the end and finished with the book. The author is excellent in her details and descriptions, especially with the settings. It was easy to have a visual image of the setting or the situation that was happening.
