Overview

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury comes a brand-new love story in the Baxter Family collection about two people who long ago shared a childhood tragedy—two people desperate to find each other and the connection they once shared…and just maybe a chance at love.

Brady Bradshaw was a child when the Oklahoma City bombing took his mother from him. Every year, Brady visits the site on the anniversary to remember her. A decade ago on that day, he met Jenna Phillips, who was also a child when her parents were killed in the attack. Brady and Jenna shared a deep heart connection and a single beautiful day together at the memorial. But after that, Brady never saw Jenna again. Every year when he returns, he leaves a note for her in hopes that he might find her again.

This year, Ashley Baxter Blake and her sister Kari Ryan take a spring break trip with their families that includes a visit to the site to see the memorial’s famous Survivor Tree. While there, Ashley spots a young man, alone and troubled. A chance moment leads Ashley to help the young man find the girl he can’t forget—Jenna Phillips.

Ashley’s family is skeptical, but in the end everyone comes together to support Ashley’s efforts to find the girl and bring them together. But will it work? And is a shared heartache enough reason to fall in love?

Deeply emotional and beautifully romantic, To the Moon and Back is an unlikely love story about healing, redemption, and hope that springs from the ashes of a tragedy.

To the Moon and Back is Karen's Best Book to date. For Jenna and Brady it isa beautiful love story born out of tragedy but turns out to be a story of love not only for God but for each other. Love all of Karen's books and eagerly await her next book.

I have read every book about the Baxters and Flanningans. Each book has a story to tell and a lesson to be learned. To the Moon and Back is no different. We all have had trouble and heartache but with God we can not only survive but come out on top. He alone gives us the courage, strength and peace to make it through the hours, days and years to overcome that heartache. I love the way Karen so easily allows us to relate with each character, to embrace him/her and build that relationship as well. At the end of this book, like all of her books, you find yourself longing for more. Hoping that the next page will not bring the end of the story. So for now we wait. We wait for the next time we can wrap ourselves into one her incredible books and find us getting closer to our Lord one word, one page at a time. Thank you Karen, for answering God’s call, so that millions of people could walk your journeys with you and draw closer to the God you love and serve! Angela King The Colony, Texas

I love reading the Baxter series books! Once again, Karen is able to entertain, pull on your heart strings, and most of all point you to a deeper understanding of Jesus while teaching a lesson from Christ! Karen Kingsbury, more than any other author I have read (and I read a LOT), listens to the Lord to deliver a story that is so much more than words on a page! Thank you for once again inspiring me!

I enjoyed this new Baxter family story. Ashley seemingly can always get into the business of other people with the most interesting results. She has the best of intentions to be helpful to others. Maybe her past as a black sheep who needed someone to love and help her somehow causes her to reach out to others who seem lost. When she takes her niece, who lost her parents and sisters in a terrible accident, to visit the Survivor Tree at the Oklahoma City National Memorial, Ashley sees a young man leave a note on the chain link fence. Curiosity gets the best of her and she is soon involved in a new adventure. A story of hope, romance, faith, and new beginnings, I think every reader will find it to be an enjoyable and uplifting story.

I must say... Karen Kingsbury’s newest novel, To The Moon And Back, is one of her best novels yet!!! I’ve always struggled trying to explain why bad things happen to good people. After reading this book, it now makes it a little easier. God doesn’t make bad things happen, God is the rescue! He gives you hope to carry on, even in the most devastating and tragic situations. Truly an inspiring love story of how God’s timing is impeccable and His plan is greater than we could ever possibly imagine! I could not put this book down!

Karen Kingsbury has hooked us again. To the Moon and Back is the next novel in the beloved Baxter Family series. It is a stand alone novel that you can jump in on if you haven't had the chance to fall in love with the Baxter family yet. This captivating tear-jerker will take you to a new place of respect and reverence for the Oklahoma City bombing while weaving it into a beautiful love story full of hope, love, forgiveness, and redemption. Her vivid imagery of the bombing memorial site will immediately transport you to the site, making you want to visit it in person as soon as possible. This story of survival is an inspiring tale for us all. I highly recommend this book. I was given a copy of this book to read and review. All of these opinions are my own.
