About the Author

Thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October—the first of the phenomenally successful Jack Ryan novels—sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it “the perfect yarn.” From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013.

David Michaels is the author of two Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon novels and several Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell novels.

If you were a person in a small town in Northern Canada and a group of American soldiers enters your town-seeking people to volunteer and fight against the Russians that are invading, would you stay, fight or get in the car and drive to the border to escape possible death? This book would be for older people such as high school age, or earlier middle school and me because it had some content that may not be suitable for younger children. End War contains a few controversial issues such as bloody violence, language and strong gory circumstances. This book is a great read, I couldn't put it down due to the suspense and it is full of page turning action that was very unpredictable. End War is similar to the video game Battlefield Bad Company II where a small group of Special Forces is sent up to Canada to stop the Russian invasion. If I had to rate this book on a scale of 1-10 it would have to be a 10 because of the action, suspense and thrill, readers who enjoy futuristic stories will most definitely enjoy this book. End War is held in the future however, the very early future, where future warfare meets today's warfare. Much of this book is held in Canada when the Russians are invading down through the north into the oil fields of Canada but there is a twist at the end that will bring countries to their knees. End War is an action packed, fast paced book with some unexpected twists that brings about the will to survive and protect by the people being able to stop the Russians.
