Tone Dead
An arts reporter has been killed in what looks like a botched robbery. Unbeknownst to the Britannia Bay police, she has been under RCMP protection after witnessing a murder in another city. The lead detectives disagree with the cause of death, one believing it was robbery while the other believes something else is going on, only he's not sure what. The reporter had not only made enemies in the arts community, but also had been accused of causing the death of a choral conductor. On his own time, the doubting detective digs deeper, goes to the other city and unearths a story worthy of an opera libretto.
