This is a good historic, but magical book about the great ship that sailed on the vast, waters of the Atlantic. This book is great for second and third graders.

As an adult reader, I absolutely LOVE 'Tonight on the Titanic' from the 'Magic Tree House' series. It's a short book for young readers, but I adored every word in the story. I'm an avid reader of Titanic books, and not many fictionalized stories on the fate of the great ship meet my expectations; this book does. I believe it accurately tells the main facts about the Titanic that children should learn. It's a fun read!

People already familiar with the Magic Tree House series will know how great these books are. Mary Pope Osborne delivers again in this installment of TONIGHT ON THE TITANIC. Jack and Annie are on a mission to free an enchanted dog from a spell and must collect four gifts to break the enchantment. The Tree House takes them to the ship Titanic to collect one of these gifts where they befriend and help some children. Jack and Annie relive the events and experiences leading up to the infamous sinking. This book is my favorite of the whole Magic Tree House series because of the flawless and sensitive way Osborne deals with this great tragedy. Frankly, I was concerned this book would be to "heavy" for my five-year old, who checked it out from the library. I was so pleased with the way Osborne handled this book. Bravo!

Even though it was really short and for littler people, it was a really great book. You should read it!

I thought this was a great book. I just wish that Mary Pope Osborne would have put a little bit more detail into it. To me it was very short and I wish that it was longer. When I bought this book, I thought it would tell what really happened on the Titanic because I really want to see the movie but Im not aloud to yet :( But luckily, Im aloud to see it when Im 13 and I cant wait! But yes, I do reccomend this book to kids, but only for 9-12 year olds.
