Meet the Author

I have lived in New England all my life and have always been interested in the history of it, especially that of the Native Americans. My original intent was to write only one historical romance, solely for my own entertainment. I didn't even consider trying to publish it or sell it. I mean, it was my first attempt at writing and I was pretty sure it was terrible. But I finally decided to be brave and offer it to the public free of charge (just in case it was bad!).To my surprise, the response has been so positive, I ended up writing a trilogy! Now, I enjoy writing so much, I feel empty if I'm not working on a new project at all times.

This book is 258 pages long. It is well edited. It is in the 1600s just as the English were begining to venture west from New England, in Northern America. A young woman falls in love with a native American, even though she is promised to a man she loathes. Her family, friends and community are horrified. There follows the expected angst, upheavels and conflict, until the expected ending. There some violence, death and sexual stituations. Chick lit, for readers 18 and up. Mature 16 years could ead this also. AD

I truly enjoyed reading about New England and its people back in the 17th century, which I hadn't seen very often in romance novels. The book kept me turning pages, and I was drawn into the growing love (and sexual tension!) of the two main characters. I also have read the sequel, part two of the trilogy, which has some surprising elements, and am really looking forward to reading the third book when it is released.
