We've been to Paris many times but were taking a first time visitor. We only had 3 days to hit as much as possible as quickly as possible. This book had great recommendations on how to do just this and more. Even after several previous trips we found places to go and ways to get there better then we had before. And the maps were excellent. From now on we will not go on a trip with out the Top 10 for any city we visit.

We stayed in Paris for 3 days and this was our first time in this city. The guide is well structured and has tons of useful information on the landmarks, the history of the city, practical sightseeing tips (buying Louvre tickets from the machines at the Carrousel du Louvre entrance was a real time-saver). Several times we used the "Places to eat" feature to find restaurants and cafes nearby, the information provided in the guide is reliable. We usually walk a lot on our trips and the maps on the turn of the cover are detailed enough to direct you through. Overall the guide was very helpful in planning our stay.

I gave this book to my son and his girl who were heading off to spend a week in Paris. We have used these sorts of volumes before in our travels over the years and have found SURPRISINGLY that these smaller volumes are much more useful than the big extensive books WHILE we were in country. Well our son and his girl reported that it was very helpful and they were very appreciative. I think in the stress and fast-pace of a vacation, we all want to get the most out of our travel-dollars. It's easy to get confused and disoriented when one is someplace new. This volume, like the many others helped to simplify the possibilities. Good Job, Folks! Thanks for helping my son's trip go well.

I like the "Top 10" books because they cram a lot of practical information into a small (and very portable) package. For people who don't have a lot of time in a particular city, or are interested in exploring on their own, this guide provides a great overview. I particularly appreciate the write-ups about the "not to be missed" sites.

This guide is great to carry all over the city. It is small and easy to use. It takes you through all the highlights and then breaks each highlight down to important things to see. WE use this series in all the cities we visit.
