About the Author

Thomas Humber is a principal technical lead with the Training Services team at Esri. He focuses on imagery and remote sensing technologies. He is an integral part of the staff overseeing Esri’s imagery curriculum and brings more than 30 years of practical experience using, interpreting, and analyzing remote sensing imagery of various types and modalities.


Jeff Liedtke is a principal product engineer and documentation lead with the Raster team at Esri. He has advanced degrees and 30 years of experience in applied remote sensing, photogrammetry, and image processing



Richard is Director of Global Business Development. He works with customers across government and private enterprise to deliver value and improve business and policy outcomes through the application of GIS technology. Richard has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of computer vision, remote sensing, and geospatial and location analytics. Prior to joining Esri in 2018, Richard served as president and chairman of Visual Information Solutions. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed an executive education program at Wharton Business School.
