Clive Barker is among my 3 favorites...him, Anne Rice, Stephen King. They have always written books and stories that knew how to draw captive the reader, to put them deep into the very depths of their imagination and world. Their works so poetic in depth and art that its so hard to turn back, making you want to continue reading until you devour the story whole, least you be devoured wanting more. It always been a pleasure reading their works. And this story of Clive's , Tortued Souls, is so like his Books of Blood and Hellbound Heart, which I've loved his imagination and creativity for (and plus the nightbred stories he made of Midian). I hope these 3 authors continue making their stories, its just too spellbinding and mindful that its hard to put into words the love of their works that they do.

A love story that only Clive Barker could write . It is a tale of love in a world of horrific violence and evil.

My favorite author of all time! I've never read anyone who could take the art of molding flesh and make it sound so appallingly beautiful. Thanks so much for continuing the art!

Fantastic story by the creator of Hellraiser

In every possible way. A great origin story, a maker worthy of Pinhead. Some of the romantic dialog is stilted and could have been cut in minor ways that acknowledge the reader's intelligence. Altogether an excellent read and a delicious morsel.
