Touch of Heaven (Kimani Romance Series #160) by Maureen Smith

Warrick Mayne has spent twelve years blaming Raina St. James for ruining his sister's life. Now the self-made millionaire has the perfect opportunity for payback—knocking down Raina's luxury day spa to build an office complex. But his plan has met a hitch, in the delectable form of Raina herself.

He may be her enemy now, but long ago, Raina had a secret crush on her friend's gorgeous older brother. And time has only enhanced Warrick's appeal. When an innocent business trip to Warrick's out-of-town estate turns unmistakably seductive, they succumb to their electrifying mutual attraction. But it'll take more than one encounter of sensual healing— no matter how blissful—to open Raina's and Warrick's eyes to the passionate, heartbreaking truth.

About the Author

Maureen Smith has enjoyed reading Harlequin romances ever since she was thirteen years old, when she used to sneak books from her mother's endless supply and devour them in one day. Those romantic, heartwarming stories made her realize that there was something quite extraordinary about two people meeting and overcoming all odds to be together. Hence, a romance novelist was born.

At the age of seventeen, she penned her first novel, a tender young adult romance entitled Love and War. As to the book's literary merit, Maureen pleads the Fifth!

Maureen received a BA in English from the University of Maryland, College Park and worked as a freelance writer while she wrote her first romantic suspense novel. To her delight, was nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award and an Emma Award for Favorite New Author. Ghosts of Fire also won the Romance in Color Reviewers' Choice Awards for New Author of the Year and Romantic Suspense of the Year. Maureen's second novel, With Every Breath, was also nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award, and garnered four Emma Award nominations in the categories of Favorite Hero, Favorite Romantic Suspense, Author of the Year and Book of the Year.

Maureen lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, two children, a cat and a miniature schnauzer. She loves to hear from readers and can be reached at author@maureen-smith.com.

This book shows a lot about forgiveness, despite being faced with lies and deceit. Raina stood her ground against not only the man she loved so dearly, but his entire family. At the end of the day, it makes you realize the ild saying, "never judge a book by its cover." You never kniw what someone is truly feeling in the inside just because they wear a smile on the outside. Warrick never would have thought differently had it not been for his uncle, who turned out to actually be his father. Overall, this was an outstanding read, i really enjoyed it from beginning to end...
