Overview

Until Angelina came into Samanthas life, it had been a myriad of pain, abuse, and lies. Sam allows herself to dream of a home with Angelina, when the little girl is taken away, taking Sam's hopes and dreams as well.

She prays she'll find Angelina. But doubts God even hears her. How could he with her so dirty? And how could she trust a God who she believes abandoned her? Hopefully this God wouldnt abandon Angelina.

God uses the gentle hands of another carpenter to show Samantha she was never alone. He strips back the layers of abuse that have tarnished her faith and worth to teach Sam there is mercy instead of shame, and love instead of hurt. He shows her that though it seems out of reach, she always had freedom in Christ.

Touched By Mercy, Written by Tina Pinson Samantha has believed the lie whispered to her by her abusive step-father that she is evil and unlovable. After all, if God did love her, why would her parents have died and her niece, the one she cared about most in the whole world, be ripped away from her? However, that is just the catalyst that the Lord uses to remove her from the situation she's needed to deal with for far too long. While in the process of trying to find her niece, she works hard at pleasing God by good deeds and helping others in hopes that in return He would answer her prayers just this once. And answer them He does-just not in ways she would have ever dared to dream or imagine... -- Over the past month, I've come across excerpts from this story and while they were good, it was nothing like reading the text in context. I didn't want the story to end-it captivated me. Why? I enjoyed watching Sam grow as she learns the power of forgiveness and love. Not only that, but the romance that blossoms between herself and Allen was a joy to see. Allen 's love for her grow and he sought the Lord's leading in how to win her fragile heart. This was a great story with plenty of twists and turns that I'd highly recommend to anyone-especially those who enjoy historical romances. If there were ever a song that wrapped up this Sam's journey, I'd chose Beautiful By Mercy Me.
