About the Author

Beginning in 1944, at the tender age of twelve, Riverboat Captain Henry E Elliott goes to work on the boats. After leaving the military in 1952, Elliott went right to work on a boat in Sweeny, TX. From there, his career begins. Moving up the ranks to captain, Elliott, now retired, shares some of his adventures in the greatest job in the world.
