Damian Doyle is entrapped by the IRA and ends up in jail branded a terrorist. The Good Friday agreement sets him free again and gives him a second chance. He wants to start a new life with his girlfriend and achieve a long cherished dream of working in the USA. As an ex convict he can only do so as an illegal. He is helped by a retired Irish American fireman. He soon discovers that the IRA man who caused him grief before is also an illegal but if discovered has much to lose. It soon becomes clear to Damian that he is on a hit list and in grave danger. He has to use his wits and his determination to survive a trained terroist who in his new guise now has the prestige and resources to kill him and his partner stone dead.
