Good book but like another review mentioned, save the stuff about being a vegetarian and looking down on meat eaters. Not to mention when he meets a Christian or talks about religion it's like he's rolling his eyes. Save the lectures, all I want to read about is the hike and the people he meets without his opinions on the way they live their lives. All that I aside, it was pretty good book and I might consider reading one of his others. I recommend reading "On the Beaten Path: An Appalachian Pilgrimage " by Robert Rubin.

This is about the CDT not the AT. The cover is incorrect or has not been properly transcribed. B&N please fix. 3d request.
