After two disappointing albums, Neil Young turned weird. Employing synthesizers to distort his voice, he made an album that succeeded in sounding not much like a Neil Young album. Actually, songs like "Sample And Hold" and "Like An Inca" were good, but the new techno version of The Buffalo Springfield oldie "Mr. Soul" tested the patience of fans. (This was Young's debut on Geffen Records, which later would sue him for making uncommercial albums like this one.)

Wake up and smell the coffee this is a good album this is a great Neil Young album and evreyone who dislikes and ditches this album would probably like it alot more if it wasent Neil Young the hypocrites I say this because since Neil Young was trying to do something different than what fans expected it went over poorly but had it been somone else they probably would have liked it this album has great songs on it like little thing called love computer cowboy we r in control like an Inca and many others this album rocks anyone who is a true Neil Young fan and feels an artist has a right to change there style and supports this should definately get a copy it is well worth it. and for the record I happen to like this version of Mr. Soul.
