Meet the Blackthorne men, each one as hot, fast, and smooth as the whisky that built the family fortune, and the yachts and race cars that bear their name. From proud Scottish stock, Blackthornes never lose. But, one by one, the seven sexy men in this family are about to risk everything when they fall for strong and beautiful women who test their mettle in life...and love.

TREY – Christie Ridgway

As the oldest of the wealthy and well-connected Blackthornes, Trey always puts family first. To end his parents' separation, he heads to France, only to find that Paris has much more to offer than one missing mother. But Trey's not the sort to slow down even when a beautiful and free-spirited American volunteers to play tour guide.

Mia Thomas won't take no for an answer, however, and soon Trey is questioning his all work, no play, and no commitment lifestyle. Then a family secret is revealed, and he must once and for all decide the kind of man he truly wants to be.

Trey and Mia have an interesting adventure on their way to discovering their love in Trey, book seven in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series, written by Christie Ridgway. Each book is part of the series but is a standalone story. As the oldest Trey, the family fixer, values family above all else; so in order to end his parent’s separation he flies to Paris to talk to his mother. Arriving in Paris he finds his mother missing and one of her neighbors, Mia, in charge of taking care of him. After the unexpected death of Mia’s best friend, Nic, and she is in Paris to check off items on a Paris bucket list. Trey has always been all work, no play; or as former girlfriends have accused him, married to his job. However Mia entices him to join her on this journey; exploring the streets and sites of Paris. When a family secret is revealed, Trey is at a loss and needs to decide what kind of man he really wants to be. Mia brings fun to Trey’s life; he calls her his mermaid or fairy or other imaginative name, because she takes him out of his comfort zone and taking a chance on enjoying life. One thing I loved about this story is how Mia hears Nic voice and thoughts in her head. Ms. Ridgway had a theme for Trey and Mia that they both avoided love; Trey because of family demands, Mia due to the example her parents set, or didn’t set for her. Yet, two people who avoided love found themselves falling in love at first sight. Ms. Ridgway wrote a tale rich with sexual chemistry, humor, tearful moments, and endearing characters giving Trey and Mia a chance for happiness, love and a lifelong future together. I definitely recommend Trey to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

The final and eldest Blackthorne! The secret is finally revealed! I totally did not see it coming. This is the seventh book and while each Blackthorne has speculated about what the family secret could be; dating back to when the first Blackthorne came to America. Yes, there have been rumors flying around the Blackthorne family name for quite a long time and we finally get the secret revealed. Trey Blackthorne is known as the family fixer. Everyone in the company and the family come to him to fix problems. With Claire Blackthorne still MIA, the other boys come to him to request that he fly to Paris where she has been staying and bring her home. He is the family fixer after all and there has never a problem that he can't solve. Claire, at her 60th birthday party left in a bit of a huff, after her husband, Graham, was conducting business during her birthday party mind you, and declared she'd had enough. While she was giving her speech she also said she was no longer keeping the Blackthorne secret, but she never said what that secret was before she left. Her leaving and the announcement of this elusive secret has been hanging over the family for months now. With little communication since she left, Trey boards a plane to finally find out what is going on with his mother and hopefully bring her back home. What he discovers in Paris is not what he ever imagined. Trey left the states a complete workaholic, a mirror image of his father. He has been groomed his entire life to take over the Blackthorne empire and he has never questioned it. Going to Paris put a new perspective on his life. He has never once taken a vacation for pleasure, but arriving there he is forced to slow down, take in the sights, enjoy the food, and especially enjoy the company of his mother's neighbor, Mia Thomas. Mia brings out a side of Trey he wishes he had more time for, but it also makes him realize why can't he make more time for the pleasurable things. What is he working so hard so hard if he can't stop and smell the roses? He really is turning into his father one day at a time. These are questions that plague him while he's there, along with the secret that comes crashing down around him. Mia Thomas is in Paris with a specific goal, she is there to say goodbye to not only a good friend, but she was more like a sister. Her final wishes were to see the sights of Paris. It isn't until Trey arrives that Mia has the courage to leave her small room and really venture out. Together they experience the culture and sights that only Paris can bring and even though they are both people who guard their hearts, it's nearly impossible not to fall a little in the city that is wrapped in lovers. Each destination bring her closer to crossing things off her list, but it also brings them closer together, which is something they both agreed wouldn't happen. This was only supposed to be a Paris affair, no strings, and no falling in love. Mia and Trey are each others yin & yang and so perfectly matched I really enjoyed their story. I was a bit worried how the hardest working brother was going to let go and be able to fall in love, but I think a trip away from everything was the way to do it. I loved how Trey was able to let go, unwind and Mia was the perfect mirror for Trey to get a glimpse of himself so he wouldn't automatically step back to his old ways. As for the big will need to discover that on your spoilers here...but Trey's book will tie everything up.

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from L Woods PR Trey by Christie Ridgway is book 7 and the final book in the series 7 Brides for 7 Blackhornes. This series was everything I could have wanted and OMG...I certainly didn’t see this coming... Trey, the eldest Blackthorne son has been elected to go to Paris and see if he can talk to their mother and get to the bottom of the secret that has torn his parents apart and been the underlying story in all the books...what he doesn’t expect is to meet a woman...Mia Thomas...who shows him that life is worth living out in the world instead of behind a desk. Can Trey learn what the secret is about, convince his mother to return to the states and to his father? Will he and Mia open up their hearts to each other and find their HEA or will it all turn to ashes?

This was an entertaining, well-written book. Mia was very sweet and lighthearted, and Trey was responsible and straightforward. The more time they spent together they more they found they had in common, and each one's personality changed the other for the better. They were good for each other. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books by this author.

This the 7th book in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series. Graham Wallace Blackthorne III, known as "Trey" is the oldest of his brothers & cousins and has always been groomed to take over the family business. In this novel, he travels to his mother in Paris to help reunite his estranged parents. The trip becomes life changing when he meets his mother's neighbor, Mia Thomas, and a family secret is revealed. Quick read but the characters have depth which will connect them to the reader. (I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.)

Trey is the last book in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes Series. I feel that each of these books in this series could be stand alone but they also do good job of a continuous flow from one book to the next. I think you would have a better appreciation of the Blackthornes if you read the whole series. Trey is a workaholic. As the oldest son he's been groomed to follow in his father's footsteps. He has no life beyond work. He travels to Paris to bring his mother mom home to hopefully heal his parents relationship so his father will give everyone else some breathing space. He's also there trying to discover what secret his mother eluded to prior to her leaving town. While he's waiting for his mom he meets her neighbor, Mia. She's in Paris on her own personal mission. Next he knows Trey is traveling around Paris helping Mia mark everything off on her list. Along the way Trey discovers there's more to life than work. Now they have to discover if there is a future for them after Paris.

Trey is the last of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes books. Trey is written by Christie Ridgway so I was counting on it being a great story. I was not disappointed. Trey is the oldest of the Blackthornes so he takes it upon himself with some family input to go looking for his mother who seems to have left his father. Trey is the one that the others look to fix whatever needs to be, such as getting his mother home. Trey is an in charge type of person so cooling his wheels in Paris is difficult but meeting Mia Thomas begins to change that mindset. Not all at once, mind you. One is all-business type of personality and one is a free spirit so really they balance each other. Loved them together. The story is well-written, filled with humor, romance, love and family. I haven’t read all the series books but found that Trey was fine as a stand-alone. A fitting finish to the series. The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Trey is the fixer in the family. As the oldest of the Blackthorne brothers, they look to him to solve their problems. And the problem he is tasked with is to go to Paris to bring his mother home. In doing so, he learns a secret that will shake up his foundation and leave him questioning himself and his place in the family. While on his mission, he meets Mia. She is on her own difficult mission, saying goodbye to her friend. The two meet and make a connection unlike either has experienced before. They had great chemistry and fit together so well, each filling a void for the other. I really liked the characters and the story was very satisfying, a good mix of light and serious, happy and sad! I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Trey Blackthorne, oldest son, makes an unplanned trip to Paris to find his mother, Claire. Something has upset his mother and she left the family home with little warning. Mia Thomas, Claire’s young friend, is waiting for Trey when he arrives as his mother is travelling. Mia is following a list given to her by her dearest friend who recently passed away. She is visiting all the places that she and her friend had hoped to do prior to her death. Although Trey is not used to having free time, as he is all about the Blackthorne business interests, he is at a loose end and accompanies Mia on her quest to fulfill the list. As they spend time together, the attraction they both feel grows stronger. When a startling family secret is divulged, Trey’s whole world is up ended. How does this news change the entire concept of his life and family? A beautiful romantic story about a woman who through her quest to bring closure to her friends’ life, helps a man gain knowledge of what is truly important in life. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)

I really liked Trey and Mia. Trey is an all work and no play kind of guy. But when he gets to Paris to talk to his mother, he is met by Mia. She is going to help him loosen up whether he likes it or not. Since his mother is MIA, he decides to see a bit of Paris with Mia. Paris is known as the city of love and neither Trey or Mia are immune. Neither really believes in happy ever after, but they may just change their minds.

This is the last book of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series. Each book is written by a different author and Christie Ridgway provides an excellent end to the saga. Trey is the oldest of the brothers/cousins and has grown up as the heir to the Blackthorne Empire and has been very comfortable in that role. He has always been the family fixer. After his mother left during her 60th birthday party, causing quite a scene and saying something cryptic about keeping her husband’s secrets Trey ultimately sets off to Paris to find her and see what is going on. When he arrives in Paris he meets Mia who is staying in another apartment in his Mother’s building. The two of them embark on an emotional journey that ultimately answers a lot of questions for both of them. I really enjoyed this series and am very sorry to see it end.

Ridgway could have so easily gotten lost in tying up loose ends. Instead she had the wherewithal to bring the rollercoaster that is the Blackthorne family, full circle. Trey is a tale of new beginnings versus past regret. For Trey and Mia love proves itself to be risky business. For the matriach and patriach of the Blackthorne clan, it's about making their way into a fresh start. Ridgway closes out an amazing series in the same way it was began. With a little bit of heartache, a ton of soul and an all encompassing love.
