Overview

If ever there was an intense volume of Trigun, "Wolfwood" would at least be its equal. Since the day Vash spotted his decimated soul in the middle of the desert, Nicholas Wolfwood has become a favorite of fans. A man of the cloth with a tortured soul and a past full of bullets, the protector of our story’s hero, Wolfwood might just be reaching the end of his pew.

Ironically, the past has come back to attack him. And by that we mean that Livio, the young man Nicholas once befriended. Livio is more than a match for Wolfwood, having been trained by the same master, Chapel. And now the master and both disciples meet in a deadly face-off, and only one man will survive.

But readers are in for more than just one surprise in this climactic volume of Trigun.

This is probably Nightow's best work yet. This is a flawless book and deserves to be read numerous times. Although the ending is very sad it's also redeeming and that's why I suggest this book to any author or reader who wants to write. The character has "character" and a soul, which was assumed to be lost. I can't say enough about this volume. Just read it. This is the best book in the whole series.

Put together very well. Looks into Wolfwood's past and ties it to the current events in Trigun. Also, shows the necessary bond between Wolfwood and Vash. Includes flashbacks, insight, drama, heartache, gun blazing action, and tragedy.

The plot takes a shocking turn in the tenth installment of Trigun Maximum. Wolfwood's bloody past is revealed and it may be more than he bargained for. Although Vash isn't the main focus of this volume, Wolfwood's internal struggle is enough to keep you anticipating his next move.
