An excellent addition! I loved reading all of these additional/side stories in the Trigun universe. We see some beloved characters again, and are introduced to new ones as well (one of which was particularly exciting to me.) Overall, very recommendable for anyone who loves Trigun.
If you have read and enjoyed Trigun Maximum, then you will likely appreciate this. If you have only watched the anime, then you'll need to go to Trigun's manga first, since some of these stories take place after the manga and contain spoilers. This features seven stories, each by a different author. Each story has a different drawing style as well as different story telling style and atmosphere. Some stories are dark and mature, while others are lighthearted and funny. A few of the stories contribute to the characters and universe of Trigun, but most are just fluff stories. Here's a list of the stories: 1)Badlands Rumble - A sequel to the movie. This is quintessential Trigun featuring all four main characters and a focus on action and humor. 2)The Lost Plant - A secluded plant gives a telepathic call for help. She's answer by both Vash and a young woman named Veronica. 3)Denizens of the Sand Planet - Set after Trigun Maximum, Zazi's successor and a young plant independent try to decide how they feel about humans. 4)Les Enfants - Trigun Maximum retold as a children's picture book with really fantastic woodcut illustrations. 5)Mil / Mer TV - Set after Trigun Maximum, Meryl and Milly can't find Vash and are desperate for material to fill their TV slot. 6)Raijin: Rising - Provides a backstory for Rai Dei the Blade. 7)Cutting is Fighting - A fluff MerylxVash story in which Meryl gives Vash a haircut. Hope that's helpful! Love and Peace!
