Overview

A high school reunion is about to get down and dirty and a whole lot more complicated in this new romance from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn.

Brains and a badass attitude. That's all troublemaker Leah Camacho took with her when she left Catfish Creek. She'd promised herself she'd never go back, but when the invite to her tenth high school reunion arrived along with the chance to show everyone who doubted her what a success she's made of herself, she couldn't resist. However, when she discovers a 15-carat, stolen diamond in her rental car's glove box, there's only one man she can turn to for help--the same sexy, stubborn domineering man who'd smashed her heart all those years ago.

Sheriff Drew Jackson knew a long time ago that Leah Camacho was nothing but trouble and has sworn to never get caught up in her again--no matter how damn sexy she is or how badly he'd failed to forget her. But, when the woman who test drove his heart right into a concrete wall rolls into Catfish Creek with some serious bad guys on her tail, it's up to him to keep her safe--even if that means guarding her hot bod 24/7 without giving into temptation or losing his mind.

Trouble By: Avery Flynn ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K Avery Flynn delivers a sensual second chance romance with lots of sass, intrigue, action, and heat, bringing nothing but Trouble… Trouble is the second installment in the brilliant Bad Boy Homecoming Series, that brings together five amazing authors in interconnected stories set at the same small town high school reunion. Brought to us by the remarkable Avery Flynn, Trouble focuses on the story of Drew Jackson and Leah Camacho. Two sides of the same coin, Drew colors within the lines and follows all the rules…Leah, on the other hand, pushes the limits and dances to the beat of her own drum. Growing up together in small town Catfish Creek, Leah always pushed Drew’s buttons…and he pushed hers in return. The summer after college graduation, they give into their mutual attraction and spend a summer in absolute bliss together…until Drew walks away, and shatters Leah’s heart. Back for the reunion, and to prove to everyone that she was more than the stereotype they labeled her with, Leah’s first run-in with Drew is full of fire. Between her sass and attitude, and his righteous indignation, the sparks fly and the chemistry is over the top. When it becomes clear that trouble has followed Leah to Catfish Creek, Drew makes it his mission to keep her safe. As the danger mounts, and Leah becomes the target of dangerous men, the heat and growing attachment between them are the only thing keeping them sane. When the stakes get even higher, Drew and Leah are forced to acknowledge their feelings…but the question remains if they will get their happily ever after. I loved this book! It was sweet, sensual, sassy, sexy, fun, and full of action! From the sexy cover, to the intriguing blurb sure to hook her readers, Ms. Flynn has created a great escape from everyday life. The characters were amazing. Leah had a fire and spirit that I absolutely fell in love with. Her attitude and sass made me laugh, smile, and occasionally cringe…but her heart was as beautiful as the woman herself. Tough on the outside, and tender on the inside, Leah was a fabulous leading lady. I loved her snark! Drew was everything a girl wants in a good guy hero. From his classic good looks, to his bad boy muscles and kink, Drew was the entire package. With an attitude all his own, and a loyalty that sometimes goes too far, Drew is the epitome of the good guy with a big…heart. The plot and storyline are unique, and well developed. Ms. Flynn developed a story that will keep you captivated and intrigued, while adding in some sexy bits as well. A truly great read, and one I would definitely recommend! Kristie K

Loved this book! There were so many laugh out loud lines that I actually woke my husband up as I read (way past my bed time). This is such a fun read- the characters are entertaining & the story was well written. Do yourself a favor- pick this book up. Its a great escape. It is the second book in the Bad Boy Homecoming series but can be read as a stand alone. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Leah has made a success of her life and now is returning for her high school reunion to show them that she is no longer the girl that was 'trouble." But things don't always turn out like you want or think they will and all that starts with the simple act of renting a car. One bad thing after another continue to happen to her and she has no idea why. That trouble leads to Drew, an old love, now the sheriff and although they argue and fight, the desire they have for each other is still there. Will they learn what these men want with her and can he save her from the danger that follows her. Will they finally admit they want each other; if they do will she stay in a town she doesn't want to be in or will Drew leave a job he loves to go with her. Hah, well I'm not telling as I don't do spoilers. Be sure and get this book and find out what Leah has that danger and trouble keep following her and what do you think, will Leah stay in a town she can't stand or will Drew leave a promise of a job he's always wanted. Wow, maybe they'll both decide to move on with their lives and go their separate ways. I recommend this story to those who love a good romance with danger, suspense and the occasional snarky humor.

Avery Flynn's "Trouble" is a phenomenal addition to the Bad Boys Homecoming series. This book has a richly compelling storyline, complex main characters and satisfying sex scenes. Avery Flynn features characters from her B-Squad series and thrilling elements of danger to spur on this Second Chance romance. Leah Comacho's the heroine with a history of trouble-making. In high school she didn't fit into a neat category she straddled Academia and Stoner. Now Leah's a successful businesswoman legally selling marijuana in Denver. The hero's Drew Jackson a by-the-book lawman; the son of well respected Catfish Creek residents. Drew's temporarily the town sheriff and is expected to take-off, within the week, to Fort Worth. Unsurprisingly when Leah returns to town for her high school reunion trouble has found her and Drew has to help. The couple's romantic history still clings and they try to either get over it or enjoy it. "Trouble" has wonderful twists, delightful heat, and an extremely likable hero and heroine. The pace is perfect and the story is intriguing and humorous. Avery Flynn checks every box ensuring this novel is one of the best stories in the Bad Boy Homecoming series. 3.5 Stars - Oh, my! Once again Avery Flynn delivers the sass, snark, spark, and suspense! Leah and Drew were all sorts of fun together, from the moment Leah comes rolling back into town right through the high school reunion. There’s danger, a bit of mystery, and all sorts of heat between these two that kept the pages turning and had me smiling, laughing, and fanning myself all the way through. I really loved the tie-in to the author’s B-Squad series. Leah is the sister of Isaac, who I just loved in “Bang”, and there was no mistaking the family ties between these two – loyal, feisty, fierce, and a bit rough around the edges. The B-Squad characters are quite the crew and added to the fun in this one! Trouble was a quick read that was fast-paced and fun and has me looking forward to reading the other books in this series. My only complaint was that it stopped a bit short for me, as often happens with novellas. If you are looking for a fun read that has lots of laughs and a good dose of heat, you really can’t go wrong with an Avery Flynn novel! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I received from the author.

4.5 Stars I so enjoyed this book in the Homecoming series. As a big fan of the B-Squad series I liked the cameo of them as well. I just gobbled up this book. Leah is going to her ten year high school reunion, but that's not her true reason for heading back to Catfish Creek. The chemistry between Drew and Leah was smokin' hot. It had the flair of humor that I look forward to when reading an Avery Flynn book. The suspense element had me on the edge of my seat and had me wanting to finish the book to see what happened next. I loved the ending and has me caving more B-Squad!

Leah Camacho is smart, sexy and a magnet for trouble. She has come a long way from the girl she was in high school. Sheriff Drew Jackson hooked up with Leah one summer after Grad school and then left her with nothing but a text. Now she is back in town for her high school reunion and is still sexy as sin and a whole world of trouble. I laughed myself sick at the idea of the uptight Texas lawman and the Colorado pot dealer. This may be only 154 pages but there is a lot happening and you won’t want to miss a page of it.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I enjoyed it, and it even brought back memories of my reunion. The chemistry of Drew and Leah was explosive. I understood why Leah was fighting it, even though she really did not put up much of a fight, she did not want her heart broken again, but I really did not get Drew's reasoning, besides his batshit crazy momma. I kind of hoped that we would have gotten to see a confrontation of Leah and his sister, since an issue with them was mentioned, but I am wondering if it will be in Jessica's book. I also kind of wished that we would have read more of her friendship with Gray, since she constantly mentioned he was her best friend, but I guess this book, was about her and Drew. I loved to read about big brother Isaac and how came thru, and was going to beat down Drew, too funny, anyway I do not want to give spoilers, but I did enjoy, of course, a lot of stuff was off the wall, but it was a book, enjoyable, and I purchased the whole set, so I am off to read.

Trouble by Avery Flynn is the perfect title for this wonderful and funny book, but it doesn’t describe what you might expect. What turns out to be a return to small town Texas for a high school reunion as well as a second chance with the one who “got away” turns into an adventure, sexy times, being followed by bad guys, and changes of future plans. Leah Camacho returns to Catfish Falls for her ten year high school reunion. When she leaves Ft. Worth to drive there she is given an upgrade on her rental car, an Aston-Martin that has a stolen sixteen-carat diamond in the glove box. Drew Jackson is in his last days of serving as interim sheriff when he sees Leah comes tearing into town as a car tire falls off. She was being tailed since she left Ft. Worth and was trying to lose them. These two have a history of being together which ended when He left without telling her. Ms. Flynn described the perfect scenario; the catty girls from high school who haven’t matured in the years since graduation; stereotypical FBI agents, good and bad; muscle going for a shake down to get the diamond returned; the head man behind the robbery who will kill for what her wants; and the small town mayor who acts as he chooses. This all makes for a humorous adventure that Leah could live without along with the macho acting by Drew as he guards Leah and keeps her at his home. Now that’s where all the sexy times occur. I really enjoyed reading this book, reading it in one day. Ms. Flynn did an excellent job keeping me interested in this story so that I had trouble putting it down. I highly recommend this outstanding book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I loved this second chance romance. Leah is a sassy sexy woman who continues to deep down love her first love. Drew is a total alpha man who can't walk away from this woman. When they get together some sort of trouble is always near. Their love for each other is obvious to everyone around them. They just need to admit it to themselves and each other so they can find their happily every after.

What happens when you decide to go back home for your 10 year high school reunion to the town you couldn’t wait to get out of? Nothing good, that’s what. At least that’s what Leah tells herself, even to she’s going back to show all those naysayers that she turned out better than them. She even thinks things are looking up when she gets an upgrade on her car rental. But the Aston Martin and the shining piece of jewelry hidden in the glove compartment proves to be more than even she can handle alone, especially when she’s being tailed by a mystery truck. She certainly didn’t want the sheriff’s help, when said sheriff was her ex. Drew knew trouble was brewing in his small hometown the second the black sports car blew past him with a burst tire. When he pulled it over, he knew he was in deep sh** when Leah emerged from the car. Even with her back to him, he knew who she was. Sparks fly from the second these two lay eyes on each other again. It’s like they just stopped talking yesterday, not years ago. Leah doesn’t last long fighting her attraction to Drew, but giving in to one sexy roll in the hay (which was hot as hell!!) doesn’t mean she’s letting him spend then night with her. They decide to focus on the investigation round, the men driving the truck that was tailing her and that shining piece of jewelry. Bring in two FBI agents, Leah’s brother and her wacky best friend and you have a hot, sizzling, funny read. Lead and Drew just burn up the pages when they get together and when they’re just talking the banter is beyond brilliant. I’m coming back for more when the next installment comes out. You should too. One-click this hot read today and I guarantee you will.

Exciting edge of your set thrills, a hint of danger and a lot of emotional turns in this highly entertaining short Romantic adventure that sizzles till the very end. Leah Camacho is my hero ... loved her so much, wicked smart, sassy wild and sweetly vulnerable on rare occasions. Sheriff Drew Jackson is hot as all get out, charming, alpha male bad boy and has a hidden sweet side. Sparks are reigniting for this explosive couple as they are thrown together in a high risk situation by fate and their own stubbornness. Devoured in a few short hours but loved every minute of it. Looking forward to the rest of the reunion.

I adored Trouble. It is book two of the multi author Bad Boy Homecoming series. Leah is in Catfish Creek for her High School reunion and Drew is riding out his last week as the town's sheriff. Their reunion comes after a bit of bad luck and leads to some very spicy shenanigans. Drew and Leah's story was fun, spicy and had a bit of suspense, which is my favorite thing in a romance. Drew and Leah really are "different sides of the same coin" which is why they work so well together. Even though it's a short second chance story it definitely had enough background that I was invested in Drew and Leah's HEA from the start. Can't wait to see what else this series brings. **ARC provided by author for honest review** (less)

In the town of Catfish, you hear the name Leah Camacho mentioned, and everyone will tell you that she is nothing but trouble, especially Sheriff Drew Jackson. She has been nothing but trouble for him and his heart since she first wandered into his life, back in the day they ran pretty hot and heavy, but then she chose to leave town and took his heart along with her. He has since tried to put all that past him and move on, but just when he thinks it has a good handle on things, she winds up back on his radar. She's back in town for their reunion, and damn if she isn't just as beautiful as the day he fell head over heels for her, and surprise, surprise she has brought some unneeded trouble along with her! Leah Camacho had never planned on returning to Catfish, but when the invite for her high school reunion arrives in the mail, she decides a little visit back home couldn't hurt. Now she can finally show all those naysayers that she has made something of herself, and kept her nose clean while doing it. But when she pops the glove box on her rental and discovers a shiny little gem hidden in there she knows she has just wandered into some serious trouble, and she has no idea what the hell she is going to do. Good thing she runs into her ex Sheriff Drew Jackson, surely he can help out an old friend... You know you have found a good book when you get so wrapped up in it that you are able to completely tune out the world around you, and devour it in one sitting... this story was SO DAMN GOOD! The moment you start this one Ms. Flynn's charming characters are sure to pull you into their sexy little world and keep you captivated from start to finish! The chemistry between them is undeniable from the start, and their feisty and playful banter helped initiate some very hot and spicy encounters that left me blushing quite a few times. Both characters were very well crafted and the authors descriptions of each of them not only gave me a good mental picture of them, but also made them seem very realistic. I always enjoy reading a good second chance romance story and I have to say this one definitely checked off all my must-haves and them some! Highly recommend!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

WOW!! This story was exciting and steamy with a sprinkle of suspense throughout and I LOVED it!! Just the right amount of angst, sexiness and excitement to keep you glued to your seat. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the Bad Boy Homecoming series!!

A high school reunion has folks coming home to Catfish Creek who swore they would never return. Leah Camacho is one of those people. Yet the opportunity to show everyone that she's a success is too hard to resist. Always known as the town troublemaker it seems nothing much has changed when Leah finds herself in the middle of an FBI investigation and hiding out in the home of her high school love. It's all just too much. Or maybe just right. Quick fun read that I highly recommend.

4.5 Second Chance Stars! This is an exciting, exhilarating and very hot and sexy second chance romance! Besides being apart of the Bad Boy Homecoming series, it is also connected to Ms. Flynn's B-Squad world, which I love! Leah Camacho and Sheriff Drew Jackson are opposites in every way. Leah is all badass attitude and trouble with a capital 'T' for straight laced Drew. But she is also the only one who thinks of his needs, unlike anyone else in his life. She is also smart, sexy, and draws him in like no other. They had a fiery affair years ago and Drew left Leah behind, heartbroken. Now he is home to help his family and is the local Sheriff temporarily. When she rolls into town needing protection, he is the only one who can keep her safe. But does that include her heart as well? Their banter is clever and witty, and their chemistry and passion is explosive! This is a fast paced story with thrilling twists and turns that kept me engaged from start to finish. Many of the secondary characters were quirky and interesting, making for some hilarious moments, but there were also some terrifying moments as well. Because of that we get to visit with several of the B-Squad gang, which I enjoyed. For a quick read, this had everything I look for in a story and is very satisfying. This is a fun, exhilarating and steamy journey that you will not want to miss!

I love Trouble This was a fantastic second chance story with great chemistry and suspense and intrigue. There was a great storyline with Leah Camacho going back to her home town and high school reunion to prove to everyone that she made it and isn't just a trouble maker. But as soon as she makes it to town and runs into Drew Jackson trouble does follow. These two are great together and you also get to see cameos of the B squad and that is always fun. Avery Flynn has again wrote a book that you don't want to put down. This is another hit.

To go to her tenth high school reunion, Leah Camacho decided to rent a flashy Aston Martin to impress the crowd, to show them she was someone. When she’s told she’s the store’s lucky 100th customer for the day, and it’s only morning, she suspects something’s fishy, but whatever. When she looks at her rental contract and she finds, what she later learns is a 15-carat diamond, she knows something is definitely not right. Of course, she would have a flat for Drew Jackson to witness. Drew had been in the Forth Worth PD, what is he doing being the Catfish Creek Sheriff? Drew can’t believe his eyes when he sees Leah, the former bad girl-goth-nerd, who was TROUBLE. And now, with two guys following her, she really is TROUBLE. Avery Flynn’s Bad Boy Homecoming instalment is also part of her B-Squad series, as some characters from the latter make some brief appearances. And dear readers, this is not a book to cool off this summer! Can you spell S-I-Z-Z-L-I-N-G! Avery Flynn goes with all guns blazing and the story unfolds at a furious pace. Leah and Drew drive each other crazy in every sense of the word. The writing is seamless, and Ms. Flynn’s snort-inducing sense of humour colours the whole story. Leah is a force of nature, and trying to contain her is akin to catching a tornado in a paper cup, and Drew is an all-around awesome character; he’s exactly the kind of hero I love. Strangely enough, I think my favourite parts of the book were the conversations between Drew and his mother, as well as the characters’ backgrounds. TROUBLE is Avery Flynn at her wildest best! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
