I read this book with no expectation of learning anything. As I read through the book I was able to glean a working knowledge of industry terms and a general expectation of the relationships involved in owning and managing a brokerage. It talked about integrity and morals in dealing with customers and brokers. All in all I got an overview of things to look for. Now I need specific information on permits, licenses, getting my own authority, and finding drivers to pull loads. I'll probably have to find another book or go on the internet for that info but I feel I have at least had "the talk".
