About the Author

Sharon Hamilton’s NYT and USA/Today SEAL Brotherhood series have earned her multiple bestseller lists both in the U.S., and internationally. Her Navy SEAL heroes learn to deal with life on life’s terms when they come back from deployment. Although highly trained and heavily equipped with the best the military has to offer, when it comes to falling in love, there are no rules, no practice runs and no manuals. Much is asked of the women who are strong enough to love them. But the rewards make up for all the interim heartache.

These men find their sometimes rocky road to recovery and redemption in the arms of their families, for whom they serve. They don’t do it for money, or glory. They are the ones who “get ‘er done.”

Sharon also writes Golden Vampires of Tuscany and Guardian Angels, which have also garnered bestseller lists and awards.

When not writing, Sharon can be found getting verra verra dirty in the vegetable and flower gardens she’s tended for decades. She lives with her husband in the Wine Country of Northern California, where most of her stories take place.

True Blue Seals: Zak by Sharon Hamilton......Another fantastic story that had me flipping pages. As always Sharon Hamilton writes gripping stories with fabulous characters and they seem so real. I loved seeing Zak's story unfold, I loved him. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for military romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

3.75stars--TRUE BLUE SEALs: ZAK is the thirteenth installment in Sharon Hamilton’s contemporary, adult SEAL BROTHERHOOD military romance series. ZAK focuses on the relationship between childhood friends new Navy SEAL Zak Chambers, and Amy Dobson-Chambers. TRUE BLUE SEALs can be read as a stand alone. Some of the previous story line characters and couples play secondary and supporting roles. We were previously introduced to Zak and Amy in TRUE NAVY BLUE (Seal Brotherhood #12). Prior to his first Secret Ops mission, Zak Chambers proposed to his long time girlfriend Amy Dobson. Knowing that he wanted Amy waiting for him upon his return, Zak convinced Amy that a quick wedding was something they both needed, and proceeded to give the woman he loved, everything that she wanted. But something went wrong for SEAL Team 3, on their latest secret mission, and Zak returned a changed man-a man whose emotional and physical damage may have been more than he could have handled. While Zak struggles with his recovery, Amy struggles with the walls Zak continues to build around his heart. Amy will become Zak’s strength-a woman who isn’t willing to let go of the man who has chosen to close off his mind about the future. TRUE BLUE SEALs looks at the struggles of military couples; their strengths and weaknesses; their support and nurturing; their heartbreak and survival. The premise focuses on recovery and acceptance; the characters are emotional and real; the relationship falters while Zak comes to terms with all that he has lost and more. Sharon Hamilton writes an emotional story line that is relevant to many of today’s military families and homecomings.

This book is full of pain, sorrow and reality of a group of seals and those they love that have to deal with deployment, danger, death and loss of so much. Ms. Hamilton gives a power story with a wonderful plot of such love and pain you can see it through your eyes what each character goes through. Zack plans to marry Amy but first he wants her to have the full effect of being married to a Seal and what that means. He doesn’t want her to be sorry later and realize this just isn’t for her. They marry before he deploys having a few wonderful nights together. Once deployed things do not go as planned and he comes home a broken piece of a man. Amy tries are to keep it together as Zack falls apart living their lives in turmoil they are walking a very thin line. Can these two who have loved each other for so long rebuild what they once had or will pain and sorrow take away the thing they want the most. This was a very touching read which is very close to real life as you are going to get without living it yourself. Ms. Hamilton gives you characters you can relate to with a wonderful plot you can tell she put a lot of time and thought into. This is one story that will reach in and pull on your heartstrings. You might need a few tissues as you read their story and the love that is so strong that it can get you through anything. This is one author that knows how to pull her readers in leaving you with heart pumping as Zack deals with issues we wouldn’t even dream of. She puts thrills, excitement and danger in her stories that will keep you turning the pages. I found I could not put this book down. I have not read the book before this one about Amy and Zack and all they went through being childhood sweethearts it would have been nice to have read a little history. In no way does that take away from this it can be read as a standalone. I can’t say I was thrilled with the ending but it does set it up for the next book in the series. I would have liked to have known just how their lives changed and how they are doing say in a few years from now. What I really enjoyed in this wonderful read is the chemistry not only with Amy and Zack but with the Seal and all the wives. It is one for all and all for one never leaving anyone behind always being there to help the other out. I have to honestly say this is one book that has touched me even after the book is finished this is one story that will stay with me. The author paints a very vivid picture that you have no trouble seeing even with your eyes closed. I found this to be a highly entertaining blood pumping read.
