I just love this whole collection of songs and summers coming, this music sounds so good, throw in the warm weather, a few drinks and Toots and the Maytals shine, my favorites on this exceptional collection are "Funky Kingston",w/Booty Collins and The Roots, "True love is so hard to find" w/Bonnie Raitt(Exception song!), "Pressure Drop" w/Clapton, "Monkey Man" w/ No Doubt, "Blame it on me" w/Rachel Yamagata, "Take a trip" w/ Bunny Wailer, "Reggee got soul" w/Ken Boothe and Marcia Griffiths, "Love gonna walk out the Door w/Ben Harper, even the great Willie Nelson and his tune "Still is still moving" is awsome. Including Ryam Adams, Shaggy, Jeff Beck, Trey Anastasio, Keith Richards, so much class on these recordings! One of the best of the year.

Being an audiophile, I tend to be very analytical when it comes to music. Being a classically trained musician, I tend to like music which is performed by artists and not drum machines and synth programming. This selection features a very wide range of performers. TRACK 1: Willie Nelson is great as always. TRACK 2: Bonnie Rait is very well matched with Toots for a duet. TRACK 3: Eric Clapton makes you want to keep playing the tune over and over again! TRACK 4: Ryan Adams gives a very soulful performance which as a nice flavor to Toots' already soulful mix. TRACK 5: The only artist I'm not too happy about is Shaggy. Maybe, I'm getting too old...lol. TRACK 6: Jeff Beck is awesome! 54-45 is a favorite for sure! TRACK 7 & 8: I'm not familiar with No Doubt or Trey Anastasio. But, the pieces are done well and listenable. TRACK 9: Bootsy Collins is a funk legend. This is not his best work. But, it is in grand Bootsy funkativity! TRACK 10: Not familiar with Ken Boothe and Marcia Griffiths. However, I do like this particular track. It is one on those songs that grows on you. TRACK 11: Terry Hall, The Skatalites and U-Roy...I have no idea who the hell they are. But, the song is very tuneful and well performed. It is a happy song which describes my personality. Even though, I am aging, I "Never Grow Old". TRACK 12: Bonnie Wailer is another well matched female duet. Listening, you can tell these artists love what they do. TRACK 13: Not familiar with Ben Harper. Don't really listen to this track very much. It just does not do anything for me one way or another. TRACK 14: Keith Richards is a rock n' roll legend. I was really surprised at this song. I really like it a lot. Listen to the lyrics and learn more about what is being said in this song. Not only is it easy on the earns...it is meaningful. TRACK 15: Rachel Yamagata has a voice that you could fall in love with. This is a very romantic piece. I would recommend listening with your better half and getting into that mode that brings two people closer. Toots has a voice that is very soulful and polished. He knows what he wants to sing. And, sings it with feeling and authority. I would recommend this album to anyone looking for a very good piece of music to listen to around the house, entertain friends or hit the road with.
