Two high-powered careers. Two weeks of no-strings sex. A love they never expected...

The first time Travis North lays eyes on Liana McDermott, she's wearing the most hideous bridesmaid dress he's ever seen. He doesn't immediately recognize the world-famous super model who is attending her cousin Enid's wedding at the country club he owns. Thanks to Enid's shameless matchmaking, Travis and Liana become acquainted and later embark on a two-week fling intended to be free of emotion and entanglement. As Liana's return to work gets closer, however, Travis wonders how he'll ever let her go when the time comes while Liana considers whether he might be her true north. Two high-powered careers, two amazing weeks and a love that comes along just once in a lifetime. Is she ready to give up her career for a different kind of life? Does he want the same things she does? After insisting on an emotionless affair, she can't very well ask him. Or can she?

Ok, give me a book set in RI, and what's not to love? The title is a play on a sailing term: true north is safety. So, what is your true north? It's nit the same for everyone, and this story is about fame, fortune, faith, respect, stalking, papparazi, and love, and whether any or all can be true north is up to you to find out

This is an earlier book by Marie Force and while it doesn't have the polish and sophistication of her best selling series of today, it's a good story and reminds me of some of the bodice rippers I read 10 years ago. The characters are likable and the storyline is good and introduces an international model as the heroine and highlights the characters' abhorrence of reporters and photographers who are now the hated paparazzi of the world. I would recommend you pick it up when you find a sale.

This is why I love Marie Force. This. Right Here. True North was the true definition of the perfect contemporary romance book. It was funny. It was dramatic. It had just enough angst to keep you turning the pages. And it was sexy. Marie has a natural ability to write ungodly sexy scenes that practically jump off the pages. This woman can write the phone book and I'd buy it and love it. Travis North. Hello! Smokin' hot, business man, loves animals, and he worships his woman. What more do you need? Liana. Sexy, down to earth model who finds her true north. I loved it! And the secondary characters/storyline was just as great with Beck and Jessie. I know some complain about insta-love. Not me. I love it when it's done right. And here? It's done right. Insta-love is part of the fantasy and the fairytale. Great job, Marie!

True North is a really good book.  I didn't care for the cheesy ending, but Marie Force wrote such a strong story line the ending was forgivable.

Its definetly a feel good romance :) many sexy scenes and the story line i loved ... wish there had been just a little lore suspense and better proof read puctuation since it would have to re-read alot of some of the sentences because of the the lack there of... the story of jess and beck was great would of wanted a little kore on it so it wasnt so rushed ..... i laughed and loved with travis, lianna , and Dash ;) ty for a wonderul story

Lots of sex, a little mystery, not much of a story. I did finish reading it.

This is a somewhat predictable ending yet suspenseful enough to what you to keep reading. Somewhat erotic but not over the top or disgusting. The author's descriptive style of writing made you visualize the landscape and setting and the love story in detail. I enjoyed this book and would read other Marie Force's novels.
