I trust you ...

These are the three words that Melissa Ashford wishes she could say to someone; to the one person she can fully give herself to and not worry about being betrayed. Being twenty-eight years old and divorced from a cheating ex-husband, Melissa enjoys her freedom ... until one night when she finds herself indulging in a one night stand that changes everything.

There's something about the alluring Brett Walker that has Melissa feeling things she's never had with any other man. These feelings not only scare her, but push her past her limits as well. Just when she begins to open her soul to this new love, their bond is put to the test by jealousies from the past trying to break them apart.

It's not only Melissa's trust that's put on the line, but Brett's as well. Will their love be strong enough to get them through the lies? Will Melissa finally be able to say those three words she's been dying to say? I trust you ...

Melissa has been betrayed deeply, when she caught her husband in the act of cheating on her, it sent her reeling. Luckily, one of the things that happened was she got back in touch with her childhood friend Korinne. When Melissa goes to an affair Korinne has asked her to in the hopes of match-making, Melissa gets a pleasant surprise and the story begins. It's here that she is re-introduced to Brett Walker aka the one night stand that rocked her world. It's been 3 months since that fateful night and she has lusted from it ever since. It's not a one sided lust either, when Brett sees her again he immediately starts the dance of seduction to try and reel her in again, but this time he wants her for more than just one night. I'll admit at first when I opened this book, I didn't realize it was going to be the same characters from "Love's Second Chance", but it was a pleasant surprise as I loved that book. This book is just as good as the first and we add some new characters. Melissa isn't a very emotional person and I liked that, gone are the weepy women who end their marriage in divorce cheated on. She's head strong, analytical, and won't fall for it a second time. It makes it so even when she's faced with "in your face" situations she can assess them logically and it helps her to get through them. Brett was a very alpha male type of character. He's there to make her feel safe and to let others know not to mess with her, she's his. So, while I know I should be gushing over him, Mason is the character that stood out to me in all this. He's the cousin/big brother Melissa calls on when she needs help. He always comes through and isn't an ass about it like most would be. He's a detective and can find out all the info she needs and has an Inspector Gadget appeal with his trinkets. I truly hope that he gets a book and hopefully Claire is part of it. This book took two days to read, so I wouldn't call it short or long, but just the right length. It has plenty of "what's next" in it, you truly don't know what to expect at some parts, then there are others that you can guess. There is no shortage of steamy scenes in this book. The nice part of it though is they are timed well and don't interfere with the story. This is truly a good story with sex scenes, not a sex story with good scenes. Which in my opinion makes it a great book. I would rate this book a 4.5 stars out of 5.

What. A. Book. I can't help but fall even more in love with books that are written by L.P. Dover. She continues to grow with each book that she publishes and I am looking forward to see where she continues to go. Trusting You is a really great book in the Second Chances series. It is a stand-alone (the first book in the series doesn't have to be read to understand or read this one) novel, but I did enjoy glimpses of characters from the first book in the series, Love's Second Chance. So, there is Melissa, a divorcee who is in no desire wanting a relationship after being burned by her ex-husband. She is a very outgoing person and outspoken which makes me love her. She is not going to take crap from anyone. Brett, oh Brett, completely swoon worthy, and my official book boyfriend. Brett is sexy, smoldering, and certainly has the ability to be able to charm any woman within eye shot of him. But he finds something interesting in Melissa. They have a chance meeting one fateful night and thinking that Melissa closed the door to that "chapter" in her life, she is completely mistaken when they run into each other at a party. This book takes off after that. Every turn of the page gets better, more intense. This is book is literary chocolate that will make you melt. If you are looking for a steamy romantic suspense read, definitely grab a copy of Trusting You today, you will not be disappointed.

There is not much I can say about Trusting You, that I haven't said before about any of the books written by LP Dover. They are all phenomenal. Trusting You is a well written story that you won't want to put down, there is just so much excitement through out the book that you are kept in a trance from the beginning to the end. I think Trusting You will most likely be my fave out of this series, it's spicy and oh so HOT!! I would love to claim Brett for my self but LP Dover has already said dibs and wont share. He's got it all; the charm, the looks and the money. Melissa on the other hand has drama following her around, however, Brett is not about to let that get in the way of what he wants and that just so happens to be Melissa. I can't wait to get my hands on the next chapter in A Second Chance Series, I just know with LP Dover writing it, it'll be another amazing book to put on your shelf!

Melissa Ashford has just left your cheating husband and moved into her own place, teaches Biology, and lounges around the pool when not being set up on blind dates by her best friend. Melissa refuses to put that much trust into another man or relationship ever again. She has a one night stand with a mysterious, dark, and sexy man and then three months later fate intervenes and she meets him again. Brett Walker was ruined by that one night stand and refuses to let Melissa walk away from him even when Melissa's ex-husband returns and is stirring up trouble. At first this book seemed a little slow going with the back and forth between Melissa and Brett. I know cheating does different things to different people but good lord Melissa move on! Once the drama got to flow and the characters started to interact and develop I was hooked. I didn't want to like all the whining Melissa was doing about not trusting another man, but I can understand why she wouldn't want to after her story fully came out into the open. I am glad that I continued this story. There are very few that I just can't finish and to me that is a crime...every book should be given a chance and I'm glad I gave this one. I would have never fell in love with the story or the characters. I guess in a way I was like Melissa and didn't trust that L.P. Dover could deliver, but shame on me! :)

I love book series that can be read as standalones, but also incorporate characters from other books within the series, and I should have know that Melissa would get her second chance at love when she was first introduced in Love's Second Chance.   While I found it hard to connect with the characters and story at the beginning of the first book in this series, I had no problem jumping right into this one, and I loved the characters from the get go. The idea of a sexy one night stand coincidentally becoming more was very appealing, especially with someone like Brett in the mix. He and Melissa's chemistry was smoking hot, and I liked that Brett was sexy but not your typical bad boy.   This book was filled with romance and sensuality, but I loved that it wasn't all about Brett and Melissa's relationship. There was intrigue and mystery, and as the story developed the more suspenseful it became, to the point where it got extremely frightening. Daniel was one psycho douche bag who deserved so much worse than he got.   This book grabbed my attention from page one and took me on one crazy ride. I loved every second.

' I received a complimentary book by the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review ' Melissa finds it hard to trust men after her ex husband cheated on her. She is not one for casual sex but one night out finds her having a one night stand. She thought about leaving her number but thought that would make her seem needy. Her best friend likes to try and play matchmaker talks her into coming to company party for the company that her husband owns to meet a guy. She reluctantly agrees. Little does she know that she already knows the guy in question. Intimately. Brett could not get this one night stand out of his head. When he see's her at a party for the company that he works for he can't believe it and he is determined not to let her get away again. He is willing to do whatever it takes to prove to Melissa that she can trust him. Unfortunately her ex comes back in the picture with a vengeance. Not only is he trying to get Melissa back but he is also Brett's new client. What will happen when Melissa's ex crosses the line in more way then one and they find out that he has many secrets that could hurt everyone involved? My opinion: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Definitely a 5 star worthy. I was so engrossed once I started reading that it didn't even seem like it was over 200 pages! I loved the characters in this book and Brett is just wow! Such love and devotion, he is definitely swoon worthy! I will be reading more of this authors books and soon! I highly recommend reading. You will not be disappointed! I know I am in the minority on this, but Melissa's character did so many things to Brett that she swore she would never do and would never let him get away with.  When Brett and Melissa meet months after their one-night stand, she gives him grief for it as if she wasn't part of it.  Then her decision making for being a biology teacher was laughable at points.  There is no way she should have been even remotely threatened by what her ex was proposing, let alone going along with it.  I liked Brett and he is the only reason I kept reading the book.  L.P. Dover wrote an interesting story and I found myself finishing it even with my issues with Melissa.

This book was so great. I didn't even relise that it was the same charaters from romance second chance. I just loved the part were the guy trys to wheel the girl in agin. It just sounds so romantic to me. I love tomantic books and movies. The book is just so great. My favrite parts are when the boy trys to wheel her in agin and when the boy is cheting on the boy. The book dosn't have really trust worthy things in it. Why did they give the book this title if it is not a really trust worthy book. The book was amazing. I loved it so much. I just can't brlive they gave it the title that it gave it when it isn't even a trust worthy book. I don't get it at all. If you can please help me figer out why or tell me why this book is called what it is but it isn't a trust worthy book. I really would like to know and it wouid be a pleaser to know why. Thank You.
