Good for tweens, but the devotionals are not very inspiring. They are okay to good, but I was hoping for something more dynamic & profound. The verses are short. This is both a plus and a minus. It keeps the reader from being overwhelmed, but also means that the verse sometimes doesn't fit the devotional that follows. Some of the context of the scripture is lost. This is a good starting point for a tween just exploring the Bible for the first time..

Best devotional I've seen for this age group. Much more than cute little stories so often found in devotionals (for both kids and adults!), Ann-Margret takes readers on a journey into God's Word and applies it to everyday life. But she doesn't stop there. Questions help girls internalize what they've just learned, and space for journaling is the perfect way for readers to make each devotional personal. Every piece also contains suggestions for taking action to demonstrate the fruit growing in the reader's life. I love this book! ~Jocelyn Green, author of Faith Deployed: Daily Encouragement for Military Wives
