Annette moved to the small mountain town to make a name for herself as an artist. Jude is a local fireman looking for something he can’t quite put his finger on. A silly game of truth or dare changes everything.
This is the beginning of a new series (Playing With Fire series) for Anne Conley. It’s about firefighters and their lives. This beginning book of the series is about Jude and Annette. Jude and his buddies are out letting off some steam and they start playing the game Truth or Dare. Jude picks dare...and from there everything changes for him and Annette. He is dared to kiss one of the women in the bar. After a bit, he chooses Annette. She allows the kiss, and the sparks that ignite and flare then blaze to life are just amazing to see. Annette is new to town to be “found” as an artist. She is quickly picked up by the town sleeve ball. She sees through him easily enough. She doesn’t want a man, but for her career as an artist to take off, then she’ll worry about men. Once Jude kisses her though, embers have ignited and are slowing stoking into a blaze during a blizzard when they are trapped together. Danger finds them later in the story. Can Jude first convince Annette to take a chance on him? Can Jude save Annette from the danger lurking? I can not wait for the rest of this series. This book is completely HOT!! Anne Conley did an amazing job with this story!! You HAVE to 1 click it!!! Whew! **fans myself while typing**
