Maggie tried to welcome the new tenant to apartment three with her homemade cookies, but he was all nasty attitude and snarky comments. Okay, so hopefully he's be out of here soon and she wouldn't have to put up with him. She had her friends and she didn't need Tyler, aka, Apartment Three. Every time they ran into each other they had to bicker and it became a routine they easily fell into. Eventually they called a truce and as time elapsed, they'd become friends with benefits…because neither wanted an actual relationship, each for their own reasons. They could do this…just sex…strictly friendship…couldn't they? Un-freaking-believably-fantastic! I swear, it just doesn't get any better than Truth or Dare by Mira Lyn Kelly! The storyline was comical with a bit of a twist to keep the hero and heroine apart for a while. Truth or Dare was delightful, filled with sexy banter I delighted in frequently. I laughed often, even surprising those around me. Wow, the dreamy, heavenly erotic, sex scenes darn near had me melting in my seat! Yowza, they were steaming hot and kept me completely preoccupied and immediately hooked. I loved the hero and heroine, but also adored the cast of supporting characters and their comical by-play. They were essential to this story and the camaraderie gave the story heart and added intensity. Truth or Dare is definitely a MUST READ… and a KEEPER too! You don't want to miss it! 5 Stars!

4.5 Star Review This story was quite a surprise. I really enjoyed this book and I think it makes for a great read with a lot of sexual tension/chemistry between Maggie and Tyler. Maggie has a great life living with her friends in what sounds like a three flat in Chicago. Tyler is the sexy stud who moves in upstairs. While Maggie is trying to be neighborly Tyler is a little of a jerk. Not deterred, Maggie takes it upon herself to be feisty and gives it back as good if not better.  As the circle of friends grows to include Tyler, Maggie actually starts to like him as a friend and there is no denying her attraction to him. It goes both ways apparently as Tyler is just as in to Maggie. Unfortunately past relationships have left the two of them unable or not wanting to seek a relationship. But the chemistry wins out and the two figure a little fun between the sheets, or on a table or up against the wall, can't hurt their friendship. But when Maggie's heart gets involved and Tyler's past becomes part of his present everything changes. I absolutely love Maggie. She is a rock solid heroine and easily one of my favorite characters ever. She has such a good heart, is a great friend and doesn't overly do the "woe is me". I did have some issues with Tyler and he is the reason for the 1/2 star deduction. In one way he is totally a stand up guy and I really feel for him, but then again his actions are false and he is literally playing someone, even if she deserves it and if it is for a good cause. I wasn't sure how I felt about that and I know I felt horrible for Maggie--did I say how amazing I thought she was? The great thing is eventually there is a turn of events and I almost get the HEA I was looking for. Honestly I was wanting more from the Epilogue but I am hopeful that we may get some of it in the next book in the series. As I loved all the secondary characters in this story, I know I won't be disappointed with the next book. Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A story about neighbors having the hots for each other. They are perfect for each other. But there is something holding him back from making a commitment. The reason is not easy. The author does a great job with the resolution.

This fabulous romance is the story of Maggie and Tyler. When Maggie goes to welcome her new upstairs neighbour into the building, their relationship starts off completely on the wrong foot and the antagonism seems destined to keep them apart - until in desperation Maggie turns to Tyler to help her from losing out on a dating bet she made with a friend. Underneath all that animosity is a spark of attraction that when let loose, threatens to overcome all their defences and lead to something intense and wonderful - if they can let go of the baggage from their pasts and claim a new future together. I loved this story! I thought the plot was really unique - Tyler is a determined, loyal and forthright man, willing to sacrifice his own future happiness in order to be there for the boy he's loved since birth (who turns out not to be his biological child) even if he knows that the boy's mother is not the woman for him. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, his attraction to Maggie is all the more intense for it's forbidden pleasure, that he can't give her the future that she wants but he can't stop himself from desiring her either. You really feel for Tyler and the position he is in. Maggie is an equally engaging character, feisty, flirty, full of life and longing to be with someone who will be true to her. She knows that Tyler is holding himself back from her and that a future with him is not in the cards, but the sexual chemistry between them leads her to the acknowledgement that even if it's just for a short time, she is willing to be with him. The love scenes between them are sensual, erotic and emotional as they try to fulfill their desires for each other without committing their hearts - a task that proves impossible as their relationship develops over the course of the story. The secondary characters in this book, specifically Maggie's circle of friends, add a delightful mix of humour, witty dialogue, thoughtful moments and the overall joy and camaraderie that is found in a group of close adults. As much as I enjoyed the romance between Maggie and Tyler, I also really liked the interactions between the group, and they really rounded out the story well. I hope there will be several more books in the series featuring the other characters introduced in this novel. Overall I found this book to be a delightful contemporary romance with all the elements I look for in a good story - a bit of tension and angst, sexual chemistry, steamy love scenes, engaging characters and a well written plot. Once I started the book I had a hard time putting it down. 5 fabulous stars!

3.5 - "Apartment Three, whatever you're offering. I'm interested." Truth or Dare is the first book I have read by Mira Lyn Kelly, it won't be my last. I really enjoyed her fresh, fast paced writing. The banter between the characters and the one liners was some of the best I have read for a while. Tyler Wells gave good date. What begins as a series of one off dates for Maggie and her friend Ava turns into something so much more when the new guy upstairs turns out to be more than just an annoying albeit hot new neighbor. It turns out Tyler has more going on in his life than just moving cities for work, and as his relationship with Maggie develops beyond the friends-with-benefits they initially agreed upon you begin to see a guy stuck between trying to do the right thing, and what is right for him. One kiss would never be enough. The man had skills. I liked this book, the first 60% kept me fully invested in the story. It did fizzle a little in the second half, I struggled to completely believe the whole Gina situation, and Maggie's somewhat easy acceptance of it. Tyler inevitably does the right thing, which I liked, and the epilogue rounded things off nicely for them. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series Touch & Go, this is Ava's story (Maggie's best friend) and I love nothing more than a friends to lovers story. My Thoughts: This story, you guys. It is one of my favorites of the year. It had a slow start, but it started to pick up and I ended up being so sucked into it, I couldn't stop. I wanted--no, I needed--to find out what happened next for Maggie and Tyler. The two of them don't hit it off so well at first. But that's okay... because when Maggie has Tyler take her on a date to help complete her dare... SPARKS. FLY. You know the fan I am of first kisses... this one just about blew them all out of the water. I read it, and reread it. Oh, it was lovely. Of course, the sparks can only last so long when Tyler has his own agenda when it comes to his ex. He has good intentions, he really does, but it's so hard to see him wanting to turn down a chance at something wonderful with Maggie. But, sometimes life has other plans, and maybe--just maybe--they have a chance after all. Truth or Dare was beautiful and wonderful and amazing. The whole story took me for a spin, one that I wanted to stay on for a long time. Everything built up naturally, and the romance was genuine and sexy. I could read this one so many times and never get tired of it. Ever. I'm so excited for more books by Mira Lyn Kelly! My Rating: Exceptional

Maggie had been burned badly in the past and she swears off dating. After chaztting with her bestie Ava the two come up with a pact to go out on a date at least once a month. One night, one of Maggie's dates falls through and she ends up spending the night with Apratment three, AKA Tyler. Tyler moved into the building temporarily with hopes of getting ack with Gina. But the he meets Apartment Two, AKA Maggie. Last minute dates and hot steamy nights will all their relationship ever be. But everything will change for Maggie and Tyler with that one phone call. Maggie's group of friends is both entertaining and mysterious. Her three besties Ford, Sam and Ava are around a lot, but we only really get to know Ava, and I still couldn't figure her out. There wasn't enough there to know them so they never felt fully formed as characters. Regardless, the besties added lots of laughter and humor to this story. Tyler is a good man and he tries to stay away from Maggie and do what is right for Charlie. Maggie is kind and sweet and you really want her to have her HEA after reading her back story. This is my first book by Mira Lyn Kelly. It was a good book filled with lots of sexual tension (I mean, LOTS!) and was very well written by Ms. Kelly. I look forward to the next book in this series Touch & Go. *I received this book from publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

Those looking for a fun and flirty read will get just that with Truth or Dare and the colorful denizens of an apartment building that starts to feel more like a home as each tenant becomes more closely connected. For two bruised souls their fiery first meeting slowly morphs into more in this likable story with relatable, strong-willed, and kindhearted characters. Since being embarrassed in public by the revelation of the man she was to marry being already married to another, Maggie has sworn off men and relationships. Instead of hiding like she wants she agrees to keep dating one man a month or pay a penalty when out of desperation she ends up at new neighbor Tyler's front door which results in a rocky and unexpected start to a friendship that morphs into a sensual romance. Maggie is a strong-willed woman who rose above a big betrayal. She knows what she wants out of life and rolls with any roadblocks thrown her way. She's supportive of Tyler and their relationship that's teeming with sexual tension and witty banter. Tyler and Maggie definitely get off on the wrong foot at their first meeting which leads to snarky banter at first but quickly morphs into unrelenting sexual tension. Even though he's sworn off relationships, wanting to focus on getting the young boy he thought of as a son back, he's drawn to Maggie and all the homey qualities she represents. Though they try to keep their relationship strictly sexual their connection continues to deepen as readers get to see more of their personality come out through interactions with the rest of their apartment family. Tyler is a kindhearted man who wants to do right by a young boy which endeared him to me. His plan is sweet but it's a rocky road he's undertaking full of heartbreak. Maggie and Tyler are an engaging couple who are sweet with fun banter that often put a smile on my face. Their battle of the sexes and unrelenting sexual tension makes their romantic culmination all the richer. Surrounding this entertaining couple is an assortment of likable secondary characters that readers will get small glimpses of but will be left wanting more of their lives depicted. This is a straight-forward story with little conflict and with a few predictable turns along the way that still was a satisfying read. Ms. Kelly crafted a fun Friends-like tale that kept me immersed in the romance and friendships and looking forward to learning more about the other neighbors.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was my first book by Mira Lyn Kelly.  I enjoyed her writing a lot so I will be checking into her previous and future works.  This was a heart wrenching story.  Both Maggie and Tyler had some major baggage holding them back from getting serious, but that didn't stop them from nearly burning their apartment complex to the ground with their heat.  It was a little hard to read this at first since I couldn't see a good solution for what needed to occur for Maggie and Tyler to get together, but if that's what's holding you back from reading this, believe me the ending is worth the effort.  The snark between Maggie and Tyler, and the whole group for that matter, had me cracking up.  It had me thinking about all of the friends that I tease back and forth.  If you can't do that with your friends, who can you.  The only thing I thought was missing was a bit more of a truth or dare vibe in the book, I expected some games between Maggie and Tyler and/or the group for that matter, so the title is a little funky for me.  Hopefully all the friends will get an HEA in the future, they each deserve one.
