About the Author

SUSAN ADRIAN is a 4th-generation Californian who somehow stumbled into living in Montana. As a child she danced in a ballet company and read plays dramatically to blackberry bushes. Later she got a degree in English from the University of California Davis and worked in the fields of exotic pet-sitting, clothes-schlepping, and bookstore management. She's settled in, mostly, as a scientific editor. When she's not hanging out with her husband and daughter, she keeps busy researching spy stuff, learning Russian, traveling, and writing more books. Tunnel Vision is her first novel.

Lily had this dream pretty often. Always not many people. The wierd thing was she could talk to the people and she felt...real. Because when she would dream anything but this she didn't exactly feel real. She saw Melody, the girl who was always nice but pretty quiet. The first time they had met Melody had asked if Lily was her 'partner.' Lily still didn't know what that meant. Melody walked over. "Hi, Lily!! Have you really found it yet?" She asked. "Umm, what? Sorry, Melody, I still don't know what you're talking about," Lily said, shaking her head. "Oh, thats ok, Lily, you'll know soon, probally..." Melody flipped her long black hair over her shoulder. Lily sighed. She wished she was as pretty as Melody. With her waist length black hair and hazel eyes she had almost perfect features. Melody could be an 11 year old super model! Lily had shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes with a snub nose; she thought she was ugly compared to Melody. 'At least,' Lily thought. 'I don't have glasses, like Melody.' "So, um, Lily, how did you get here today?" Melody asked, shifting on he feet. "I'm dreaming, like I always do to get here," Lily said. "There isn't another way, right?" "Umm, well, I'm not really supposed to tell you this, but..." Melody trailed off. "What?!" Lily gasped...<b> BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!! Lily's alarm clock rang waking Lily up. "URNGK!??" Lily grunted. "7:00 already?!?! What?! But I just got in there!!" Lily swung her feet over the side of her bed and walked into the kitchen to see what was for breakfast..ppp. (Thank you for reading the rest of chapter one, and please read my sisters story and make your own at fuzzy all res. Sorry for any mis-spells and typos. Again, Thanks!!~Moonfall.)
