Loved that this was my first shifter read. Dover took a sub-genre I'd avoided and made me. An. The writing. The storyline. The characters. The action. And the romace, were all written to perfection. Alpha male and female through fear, unknown and beauty make a must read book.

This book was beyond words. For it being L.P.'s first para book, I'm surprised at how well she grasped it. The thing I loved the most about it was Bailey, she was THE alpha, it wasn't some douchy guy but a woman that was tough as nails. As the story unraveled I found myself taken aback at all the twists and turns. It was like being repetitively smacked in the face and too stunned to know what would happen next. Ryker was the icing on the cake, he was sweet, kind, and according to Bailey he was quite tasty as well ;) I loved watching everything unfold and seeing the characters grow with each new task put in front of them. One thing each of her characters had was strength. They were thrown into the world and only had one choice but decided to create their own. They had to try harder and harder to get past things that were literally shoved on their plates. The fact that they made it out of this whole ordeal was amazing! I praise how well this was written and cannot wait for more! I'm literally dying for Rise of the Moon and for more wolves! Mostly Colin and Sebastian but hey, any will work for me ;)

Fantastic read, full of suspense, fighting, and love! Totally loved it! I don't typically read this genre, the sexy shifter genre that is, but I totally loved this. The story line was deep and well plotted, the characters were fantastic, totally realistic, for shifters, and likable, or super hate-able. I really love that it reads like a stand alone, but there will be more books in the "series" or "world" to look forward to. Maybe of some other characters we have grown to love. I know I will keep reading books in the Royal Shifters Novel collection.

Bailey Whitehill is not going to settle for a jerk of a mate so she runs and gets caught by her mate Ryker. Ryker tries to protect Bailey and help her learn the truth about herself and their past. This is just an awesome book to read. I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This is book 1 of The Royal Shifters by the author.

Bailey is promised to the cruel and sadistic Kade - Alpha of the Yukon Pack. They are shifters. But Bailey will do whatever she has to do to avoid being with Kade including kill him. Bailey wonders to the middle of the forest and is found by another pack’s alpha Ryker. Ryker had watched over Bailey for a long time that Bailey was his mate. Bailey was very stubborn and felt she didn’t need anyone’s protection. So now all Ryyker had to do was win Bailey over. The story and plot were good a little different in that he just watched Bailey for a long time and Ryker gave her the choice to be with him or not. I have never really seen that in an male alpha shifter before. But not necessarily bad as I said just different. What is there not to like though: a lot of action, suspense, tension fights, drama, trying to find answers, and more. The characters were really good even the bad guys they had to be there to make the story what it was. So I did like this and I recommend. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

I've read and liked L.P. Dover's books and Turn of the Moon didn't disappoint at all. From the cover to the synopsis, Dover delivers a story full of twists and turns that will leave you wanting for more. In this story we have one girl, and two wolves ready to battle each other out. But it turns out that she is already promised to one and destined for the other. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Bailey Whitehill, daughter of an alpha, whose just found out that she has been promised to Kade (Yukon Pack alpha). Needless to say, Bailey is completely devastated at the news and begs her father to let her be with someone she loves. But she has to marry someone powerful and her dad has already made the decision for her. The only choice that she has left is whether staying is a good idea or leaving everything behind. After Kade tried to force himself on her, she does the unthinkable and kills him. With the clock ticking, she leaves her home and doesn't look back. This however, is only short lived because she is tracked by another wolf, one that she feels something towards but doesn't know why. Her life immediately starts to change, and that's when the story truly begins. As Bailey's life starts to twist and turn, we start to find out why she was promised to someone that is not her mate, and where her real one is. As Bailey starts her new life, she meets new people and that special someone that has been lurking the in shadows waiting to mark her as his own. I really enjoyed reading this story, it's something a bit different and it was a good quick book to read. I have to say that the very first chapter was truly shocking and that got me hooked. The way things start in the story were interesting, and I really liked the characters as well. Bailey is a strong female character who as the daughter of an alpha, needs to be able to rule her pack. But it's her rebellious persona that keeps her alive and she is able to find the answers that she needs in the end. When she meets her true mate, she doesn't believe who he is and what he tells her. But as the two start to put the pieces together, she realizes just how much her parents lied to her. Ryker (Bailey's mate) is dreamy, handsome and caring towards Bailey that he made the story that much more interesting to read. He is the perfect ruler who is compassionate, and cares about his pack. As the two start to spend more time together, their chemistry starts to grow even more. Overall, I really enjoyed reading something new from the author. If you're looking for a good paranormal romance story filled with drama, romance, battles, and steamy scenes then I would highly recommend reading this book. It will not disappoint at all. :) ***ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.***

I loved this book! Bailey and Kade ... HOT together! I loved their backstory, and how they worked to figure out what would work for each of them going into the future. The surprises along the way really built the story so strongly. I was hooked on these shifters easily, and happily. Every time I thought I knew what might happen next, there was another surprise waiting. I can't wait to read future books with any of the supporting characters!

What would you do if everything you thought was a lie including who you really are? How would you feel? What would you think? Who could you trust and turn to for help? Bailey is about to find out. Bailey is the daughter of the alpha and his is forcing her to mate with another alpha named Kade. Bailey doesn’t want anything to do with Kade. She can feel his evil rolling off him. She knows she is different and will fight him before submitting to him. When her father refuses to change his mind, Bailey is left with no choice and fights back and then runs for her life. After entering Wyoming, Bailey finds herself confronted by an unknown alpha. She doesn’t know him, but feels he is familiar. Ryker knows Bailey and has known her for years. She is his true mate and now he has to find out why she doesn’t remember him. Ryker was banished from his lands but never forgot Bailey. He has kept tabs on her since she was in college and now that he has her he doesn’t plan to let her go. Ryker is furious when he finds out what Kade plans, especially since Kade is his brother. Bailey has some hidden talents as an alpha female that help her and Ryker battle the evil plans of Kade. Along with their friends, they confront Kade, Rollin and their evil witch to bring the old magic back to the wolf shifters. If you like paranormal shifter stories, you will enjoy this book by L.P. Dover. I enjoy immensely and am looking forward to the next books in this series. I want to find out if Sebastian’s mate is who I suspect. The story will hold your interest to the end and curiosity will have you waiting for the next book. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Turn of the Moon was such a refreshing read for me. I am always on the look for great paranormal romances and let me tell you, this book reminded me why I like shifter books in the first place. Turn of the Moon is actually my first book by L.P. Dover and it certainly won’t be my last. I clearly have been missing out. Not only did Turn of the Moon give me all of the romance elements that I love, including an alpha male, but it also more than delivered on the paranormal aspects. Turn of the Moon follows the story of Bailey and Ryker. All Bailey has ever wanted out of her life, was her freedom; the freedom to live and love who she chooses. However, her family has other plans in mind. They’ve promised her to a wolf that she doesn’t love. This wolf is arrogant, mean and just plain cruel. Bailey is left with no choice, but to escape; no matter what the cost. As Bailey embarks on her quest for freedom, she quickly learns that everything isn’t as it seems. She will quickly discover that everything she thought she knew was a lie. Things become even more complicated when she discovers her true mate. Together the two of them will uncover a startling truth and will be in for the fight of their lives; not only to protect their pack, but to also complete their bond as true mates… Turn of the Moon is the first book in not only an exciting new series, but also a new genre for L.P. Dover. And let me tell you, she really knocked it out of the park with this one. I was intrigued from the very beginning. I was sucked into a world of magic, wolves, mystery and intrigue. I was completely captivated by the characters and their story. I couldn’t wait to see how it would all play out and I honestly couldn’t read the pages quick enough. Turn of the Moon was hot, sexy and intriguing. The characters had excellent chemistry. There wasn’t one person, whom I didn’t want to know more about. It honestly had it all: romance, suspense, mystery, and a ton of action. The Royal Shifters series is off to one heck of a start and I for one can not wait to see where this series will go next! *I was provided an ARC copy of this book via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review*

Turn of the Moon was a quick and enjoyable read! I loved the pack politics and the rivalry between the different packs. I was in the mood for a quick paranormal story and this one didn't disappoint. As with all shifter novels, there is a great deal of action and sexy scenes. The two combine for a well paced novel. I enjoyed the plot and am excited to read the rest of this series! I would love to read about some of the other characters. If you're looking for a sexy paranormal read, check this one out!

If you are a LP Dover fan, you will fall in love with these characters just like you have all her others! Strong female role and sexy alpha guy, you know you can't go wrong there. The story flowed well and considering it is paranormal and it seems to take a little bit more detail then a regular romance to help the story flow like it should, LP knocked it out of the park. I'm not a huge paranormal fan, but LP is turning me toward the moon with these wolves. Great start to a new series and I look forward to more to come!

From the Land of the Fae, to a time of Second Chances, to the intense world of Gloves Off and MMA fighters, and now into the realm of Royal Shifters L.P. Dover has shown that she can write it all. This new book of hers, Turn of the Moon, is the first in her new Royal Shifters Series and it was complete amazeballs. Besides having two hot Alpha male wolves, Ryker - her destiny and Sebastian - her protector, you also have Bailey Whitehall the girl in question. Don't get me wrong Bailey isn't just any girl (and yes she knows that she's a shifter) she's a Alpha female wolf and she can kick some serious ass. Female Alpha's are rare in wolf packs but there's something more about her but I'm not gonna tell you what that is you will have to read the book to find that out for yourself. Bailey is the type that won't take no crap and will fight for the ones she loves even if it means having to kill someone. Ryker is the Alpha of his pack and let me tell you that man is all Alpha but you see a different side of him with Bailey. He's protective yes but he knows that she's also an Alpha and respects that...kudos to you Ryker one more reason for me to fall for you. Ryker and Bailey have got to be one of my most favorite couples and they do have some sexy scenes. Obviously everything can't be perfect or there would be no story to tell. There are gonna be times when you are reading this book and you will come to the end of the chapter and you will be left wondering what the hell just happened. As the story unfolds and more secrets are revealed you will find yourself unable to put this book as you keep reading to discover if there will be a war and who will survive it. If you are a fan of paranormal and like shifters, witches, and old magics then this is the book for you. A definite must read and for me a definite future reread. Look forward to seeing what Ms. Dover has for us next.

Whenever I hear that L.P. Dover has a book released I have to pick it up, with this one being a bit different than her Fae series and her MMA series I was looking forward to what she had come up with. I think that this was an amazing read, she Kept me on my toes, it was full of suspense and brought you into the story like you were apart of the pack. Bailey an alpha female in her pack was promised to someone she detests and can't stand to be around or even think about him touching her takes the situation into her own hands and ends up leaving her pack on her own. worn out and hungry she stumbles across what she never knew was there her destiny. Ryker the Alpha male of his pack knows all about Bailey is the one who finds her in the woods in his territory. He brings her home and then that is when the reality of their destiny reveals it's self. This story was so much more than a shifter book, it was full of love ,lies and deception and also strength and unity among various wolf packs. I am so happy to know that this is just the beginning of this series and really can't wait to read the next one.

First I will say this... I do not normally gravitate to paranormal romance. I thought I would give this a try since this is one of favorite authors. I am glad I did. I really enjoyed it. It suspended my disbelief. Bailey the heroine of the story is not one to back down. She was such a strong lead following her convictions. A great Alpha female. Ryker was a fantastic alpha. LP Dover certainly can write some strong leads and secondary characters. I gave the story 4 stars because the story presented to many characters for me to keep track of. I am sure once the other books come out in the series these will all be fleshed out. In all, I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone especially 1st time paranormal readers. **I was gifted this arc for an honest review***

I want to start off saying how much I love L.P's books!!! When I found out she was writing a paranormal, I was very excited. Then I found out it was about shifters!!! My favorite!!! So I couldn't wait to get my hand on this one. Let's just say, L.P doesn't know how to disappoint when writing a great book. Turn of the Moon was howling fantastic!!! It was an amazing adventure full of love, deception, action and friendship. The characters had a lot of depth. I fell in love with most of them especially the hot as can be alpha males. I also loved that the story was written in both Ryker's and Bailey's POV. I was able to connect deeper with both characters that way. I loved Bailey as a character. She was very stubborn and wanted to do things her way. She didn't need anyone to protect her. She was very powerful so she was able to kick some major butt as well. She didn't know a lot about her kind due to her memories being erased. And for the packing not telling her. So many secrets revealed with that. Ryker was one of my favorite characters. He was so protective of Bailey and has watched over her for years. He knew for a long time that she was his mate, but he could never get to her. I loved watching their relationship grow and develop. Sebastian was my favorite character!! He was so protective over Bailey since he was her royal protector. The banter between Ryker and Sebastian was hilarious. I couldn't help but adore him. Turn of the Moon was a fantastic story that I will definitely reread. There wasn't anything that I didn't love about this book. There are secrets revealed and secrets that I can't wait to be revealed. I am hoping my alpha males find their true mates now that the bond is complete. I fell in love with those boys so I am hoping they get their happy ending as well. I can't wait to see where L.P takes us next. I highly recommend this book!!!

It's paranormal books like these that remind me of why paranormal is my favorite genre. I favor Werewolves more so these days than Vampires exactly for all the reasons that L.P. Dover placed in Turn of the Moon. This book is full of mystery, love, soul mates, magic, betrayal, loyalty, family, trust...I mean the list just goes on! How she comes up with the small details that add to the story and to each character development is beyond me. It's like how does someone come with all this detail. Someone with talent that's who. Ryker is is EVERYTHING! I mean how could you not want a mate as gorgeous and generous as him. Bailey, I love because she is such a strong character and not because she was born to be, but because of who she is inside. It constantly shows through every situation her and Ryker are thrown into. There is so much unity amongst the packs in this book (the good packs) and a sense of family even between different packs. I just couldn't get enough of the bond between Ryker and Bailey, it was astonishing and just gives you hope that even though that power isn't real something along those lines of a strong bond with your other half could and does exist. This is also a story of hope and not to give up. That if you believe in something it can happen. I can't wait for the second installment to the series. I think L.P. Dover has written a gem and did a great job with diving head first into a paranormal. How can you not want to read about Werewovles!?!

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, secrets, grief, and heartbreak. This is Bailey and Ryker’s story. Bailey has been promised to Kade. But he is cruel and she wants nothing to do with him so she runs from him and her pack. On the run she meets Ryker. Ryker is her true mate but she has never heard of true mates. She only knows she needs to keep running. Ryker will do anything to protect Bailey. He has to get her to understand that they belong together. Can Ryker convince her before the wolves that are after her catch up to her? If keeping her safe means a war then Ryker is prepared to fight to the death to save Bailey and prove to her they are mates. Who is really after Bailey? Is it her old pack or other packs also? When all the secrets are revealed will it bring them closer or completely shatter them? If they have to go to war will they all come out of it alive? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I will not be able to say this enough... THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!!! How can this be LP Dovers first dabbling into the paranormal world? From reading this book, one would think that she only wrote paranormal books. This story involves a few things that I look for in a great book. Smashing characters that you can relate to and fall for, a plot line that seems plausible (if we could find magic and shifters), and imagery that draws you into the story. You will feel like you are experiences the entire furry rainbow of emotions that these wolf shifters give off. In this story you are met with a few different wolves. One is named Bailey and she is of the age to be mated off. She is promised by her parents to a neighboring male whom she hates. But it is the packs wishes that she mates with him for life. What will she do? Will she go along with the pack knowing that her life will be horrible, will she end herself so that she doesn't have to go through that, or will she try to get away from the pack and make her life her own? You will find the answer to this question and so many more by buying this book and reading it. None of the books by LP Dover have EVER disappointed me and this one didn't either. If you like The Mystic Wolves Series by Belinda Boring you will LOVE this story.

So sadly,I really couldn't get into this book. I wanted so bad to love it because I love all of L. P. Dover's other books. I just couldn't connect to the characters. I honestly thought Bailey was a little over the top. The one thing I did love tho was the whole royal wolf thing, loved that. Very different and creative. Ugh I just really wish I connected to it more. I'm not saying that no one else will not love it, because all the other reviews seem really good. It just wasn't for me. :(

Turn of the Moon, A Royal Shifters novel,  L.P. Dover Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre: New Adult,  romance, I’ve read a couple of LP Dover’s books before, one I loved, the other not so much so I wasn’t sure what to expect here. I loved paranormal reads though and shifters always appeal to me. I liked Bailey, liked that she was strong, stood up for herself, and wasn’t one of those helpless simpering heroines. I want my leads to be able to take care of themselves, though that’s not to say they have to be butch and unfeminine or don’t need help. Bailey fits that criteria really well. She’s stood up to her pack and made clear she won’t be a doormat, and yet they still want to give her to Kade, Alpha of the Yukon pack, and a cruel, sadistic character. She flees, fearing for her life and that's how she meets Ryker and his pack. She’s amazed at how different they are to her old pack, how they have choices, live normal lives and aren’t forced to do things they don’t want. She’s worried though, even though she can feel the pull to Ryker, that he’s her true mate, she thinks she’ll bring danger to his pack and is unsure about staying. He tells her its fine, they can deal with Kade and his pack, and reveals things about them and her old pack that she didn’t know. I liked Ryker too – how hard he’d worked to create his new pack, to get where he is now from nothing, and how loyal to him his pack were. There’s some solid fights, bloody damage and deaths before the story ends. As well as the shifters there is magic and witchcraft involved. Its a fun read but for me everything fell into place a bit too neatly, too slickly, and was a little too light for a top star rating. I like more depth, more conflict before everything is resolved, shifter reads more like those from Patricia Briggs and Amy Lee Burgess. Still, not everyone wants deep dramas and dense plots and if you’re looking for a light and fun paranormal read this will be perfect and a five star.  Stars: Three from me, a fun read, a good story but a bit light. Still, as I've said for those looking for something quick and easy to read this is a perfect five. ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers  If you enjoyed my review I'd love it if you would please click “Like” and if you didn't I'd love to know why, in case I've inadvertently added a spoiler and need to edit.

I have read many of LP Dover's books but I have to say this was her best book ever. I loved the visual descriptions that the author provided the reader it actually helped bring myself into the book. I loved how each of the characters had such a strong dynamic between each other. I loved the two main characters Bailey and Ryker they made you want more and more if their stories you couldn't help but love them. I especially loved how she made Bailey a alpha most shifter books make the heroine a meek damsel in distress when in all actuality we can just as easily be the big bad and kick some serious booty. I really can't wait for more in this series. I highly recommend this book to other readers who love paranormal and shifter books. I received a copy in exchange for a honest and unbiased opinion.

This book isn't my typical genre I like to read as I'm not huge into the fantasy aspects in books. However with that being said, LP did a great job of making me enjoy something out of my comfort zone. I felt the raw, physical chemistry between Ryker and Bailey. The action scenes were described so well I felt like I was right there--I actually cringed at times. It always amazes me when authors can create this fantasy world and it's so in depth. The imagination it takes to create a world like this is impressive. Kudos to you LP Dover! Only wish a random Gloves Off hottie came into the mix lol :)
