Twin Oaks mingles murder with justice, old racial hatreds with love, and ghosts with the living. It begins in 1964 with the murder of James Goodroe in his home in Harris County Georgia, an old plantation known as Twin Oaks. Shortly after the murder, James' nephew, Sam Goodroe, lynches the plantation's innocent farmhand for the killing. Years pass. Sam is elected sheriff of Harris County, and in 1998, he sells Twin Oaks to Bill and Lia Patton. The young couple quickly learns that their new home is haunted. Bill and Lia investigate the murders that took place at Twin Oaks, only to have Sam Goodroe brutally try to stop their efforts. However in the end, with the help of a few good friends and honest officers of the law, along with the ghosts of the murder victims themselves, justice is finally served in a most unexpected way.

This was the best book I have read in a very long time! I stayed awake until four in the morning to finish it. It has mystery, suspense, and several surprises throughout. Whether you enjoy mysteries or not, I highly recommend this novel. Very well done!
