The Complete Twisted Cedars Mysteries Collection

In the coastal town of Twisted Cedars, Oregon an ugly secret from the past has been festering for over thirty years when five librarians were targeted by a serial killer. Now an anonymous emailer wants true crime writer Dougal Lachlan to tell the story. To uncover the truth Dougal enlists the help of local Twisted Cedar librarian Charlotte Hammond.

Buried, Book 1
Someone with inside knowledge is feeding clues to true crime writer Dougal Lachlan, promising him the best story of his career. Pursuing the story means returning to Twisted Cedars, where he teams up with local librarian Charlotte Hammond. Since the disappearance of her older sister, Daisy, eight years ago, Charlotte has led a quiet, sheltered life. But as Dougal’s investigation proceeds she realizes there is no safe zone. Not even in libraries. And especially not in Twisted Cedars.

Forgotten (Book 2)
After a shocking secret is uncovered in Twisted Cedars, Oregon, fresh trouble surfaces when a cargo truck crashes leaving the driver dead and the sole passenger, a woman in her early thirties, unconscious with a severe head injury. When she awakens the next day at the hospital, she is suffering from amnesia. Since she carries no ID, there is no clue to her identity.
Judging by the woman’s bruises, which pre-date the accident, the Sheriff suspects she was running from danger when she hitched a ride with the truck driver. But how can he protect her, when he doesn’t even know who she is? An unexpected connection to a serial killer soon has true crime writer, Dougal Lachlan, and local librarian Charlotte Hammond, trying to solve the puzzle…and prevent further death.

Exposed (Book 3)
When a young boy goes missing the residents of Twisted Cedars are in a panic. They would be even more fearful if they knew a serial murderer has secretly moved back to town. True crime writer Dougal Lachlan and the local librarian Charlotte Hammond must work together with the Sheriff in order to finally expose the killer responsible for decades of unsolved murders.

After reading the 1st book I needed to get the series to see how it all turned out. The 2nd and 3rd books were probably written to be stand alone books but I felt as if I was rushed into the story line and they lacked the intensity of the first book. Overall I enjoyed the story and was glad I bought the series to get the ending.

I loved these books . Very well written . I couldn't stop reading. Plots and twists aplenty . Best part was a great ending that explained everything. I will definitely be looking at some of this authors other stories .

Hard to put down with a great mix of suspense and romance woven into an ingenious and absorbing story line.

This series was well written and the characters well defined. I would recommend reading this author. My only peeve is that the first book which was free, left you hanging and so inconclusive, I had to buy the rest of the series.

Could not put it down

Well written and an easy read. Because it's 3 books there is some repeating for the sake of readers who jump in at the end. Not a big deal... Well worth buying. I enjoyed it.

I was not pleased to find the second and third books rehashing so much of the first book. There were far too many errors in the second and third books. Even in the seventies police would have seen rope burns on Shirley's hands and ankles. They would have seen bruising and skin burns from her fall on the cement floor. Good read but unrealistic in too many ways. Since Ed had lived in the trailer before, and Chester was directed to meet at the entrance, any cop would have suspected Ed was holed up in the traler. Then there was the trailer - was it a double wide or a cramped single wide with only two small bedrooms? Time line confusions abound as well.

The first book was readable. The second and third were just filler words to make a trilogy. Poor character development and consistency!

I loved this series! I received the first story, Buried, as a Free Friday selection and was immediately captivated. I just had to get the rest of the series. I was not disappointed. This series is very well written. It is a gripping story that keeps you hooked throughout all three books. You feel connected to the various characters. My only complaint would be the big revelation about what happened to Daisy. It was completely unrealistic. But all-in-all a fantastic series that I didn't want to put down. I will definitely have to check out other books by this author.
