About the Author

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Melissa F. Miller was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although life and love led her to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and, ultimately, South Central Pennsylvania, she secretly still considers Pittsburgh home.

In college, she majored in English literature with concentrations in creative writing poetry and medieval literature and was STUNNED, upon graduation, to learn that there's not exactly a job market for such a degree. After working as an editor for several years, Melissa returned to school to earn a law degree. She was that annoying girl who loved class and always raised her hand. She's clerked for a federal judge, worked for major international law firms, and started a two-person law firm with her lawyer husband.

Now, powered by coffee, she writes crime fiction and homeschools her children. When she's not writing, and sometimes when she is, Melissa travels around the country in an RV with her husband, three kids, and their cat.

Bodhi is asked to help on a case that seems impossible - the DNA of a man sitting in jail is found at a current crime scene. The man had killed the wife of the current victim many years ago, and Bodhi had worked on that case. The book shows you parts of the original case, as well as detailing the present one, and allows you to understand what is actually happening, even before Bodhi and the others have figured it out. Bodhi approaches everything with this logical mind, and a calmness I'm sure I would never have in these kinds of situations. I read this book in one sitting, couldn't put it down!

I was privileged to receive an eARC of this book with a request that I write an honest review. Seven years ago a woman was murdered. DNA left at the scene identified a suspect who confessed ad was sentenced to prison for life without parole. Now the woman's husband has bee murdered in very similar fashion. DNA at this scene is traced back to the suspect in prison. He is still locked up and has not escaped. Bodhi King is brought in as a consultant since he has a reputation for solving unsolvable crimes. I found this book to be very interesting. Bodhi picks up where the police left off and goes his own way to solve this connundrum. The pace is nice, not rushed but steady. The characters from the Prosecutor's Office to the Police and the entire legal team are involved. Well done Mrs Miller I was captivated from the start to the end.

Feb 19. ARC sent back TWISTED PATHS by Melissa Miller Bodhi King series # 4 It seemed like we was observing Damon, the words from him penetrating us of what he had done. A kill, was not for money then why. Is the clue her husband, who was at a holiday department party. We know had another picture of Bodhi, with untamable wild curls. Sonny is telling him he was to go to court today testifying about the case,as a pathologist. Saul wants him to figure out how Tenley’s DNA wound up at Noor’s murder. Bodhi observing the people in the room, there reaction to the case, he was brought in as a consultant. The main question they have is how the DNA was at the scene and yet person was in prison. It is a puzzle and he will figure it out, giving the truth, regardless of what impact it may fall to anyone that may hurt them or friendship of what he finds I love her books the story flows, you know the characters. Especially Bodhi, he is a special unique person and even thru these pages we agree.. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
