Overview

The soundtrack to the blockbuster sequel, Twisters: The Album turns the original's hodgepodge on its head and opts to focus on a single genre, creating a concentrated pairing that perfectly captures the movie's spirit and aesthetic. Composed of original songs written specifically for the film, the track list reads like the greatest country festival lineup someone could produce in 2024: Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, Tanner Adell, Warren Zeiders, Lainey Wilson, Shania Twain, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Tyler Childers, the Red Clay Strays, and many more. Just outside the country spectrum, Leon Bridges gets some dust on his smooth neo-soul with "Chrome Cowgirl" and passionate vocalist Benson Boone puts a rustic stomp on his yearning pop sound with "Death Wish Love." Even Mason Ramsey (of viral "yodeling kid in Walmart" fame) joins the fun, delivering a rousing highlight ("Shake Shake [All Night Long]"). Combining veterans with newcomers and big names with some relative unknowns, Twisters is a 29-track gift that keeps on giving, a credit to the soundtrack's architects Rachel Levy and Mike Knobloch and producers Kevin Weaver, Brandon Davis, Ian Cripps, and Joseph Khoury.
