Book 2 The game of life continues. It follows the story from book "One Fear" and is still gripping. There is a growth in the characters, even though it is still a dark and stormy story. There is a suspense as the reader tries to figure out Red and who exactly is the Wolf. It's a wild ride, looking forward to reading my way through the rest of the series.

OMG Belle! You got me again! Two Footsteps is the second book in the series The Game of Life. You need to read them in order. The Wolf, who is it? i thought i had it figured out and then twists that say i dont. I'm rooting for Morgan to win the game cause she is a momma bear and her children are giving her strength to survive. Reid is becoming the prime suspect but he cant be. He is at home with the police as things unfold. (no spoilers here) The emotions that this book brings out are intense. I feel like have know these characters. I cried, yelled at the book, was shocked and felt heartbreak. The roller coaster ride is real!

Ms. Brooks knows how to keep you in suspense, and she does it with intelligence!! This is the 2nd book in the Game of Life series, but don't even think about it ending here... the Wolf has just started provoking Red! So hold on! The ride through this story is intense and there is no getting any type of relief in sight!! You WILL have a book hangover, no it won't be gone overnight or after a couple aspirin. No worries, Ms. Brooks will pick you up where she left you, and bring you along on the rest of this journey soon, so practice patience and sit there in anticipation, like the rest of us.

Belle Brooks has a seriously devious mind, one that can craft the most horrendous, eerie, heart-stopping moments I have ever read in a short story. This novella is small but it sure packs a punch. Of unmitigated fear and terror and oh no, not again over and over. I’m reeling from the dastardly ending of part two. Morgan has been abducted by a man, she knows only by the name he calls himself. The Wolf and he calls her Red. She’s not his first victim and this deluded and dangerous man has honed his skills over a long period of time. How long? It’s hard to tell, but I get the feeling it’s been years. Reid meanwhile is left faced with the possibility of going to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Or did he? No one know except him. Why has Morgan been taken? Who is ‘the Wolf’? Will she ever see her family again? There is still so much more to find out, and so many unanswered questions, you’ll have to read your own copy to find out.

Belle Brooks. Most people think they know how to write a cliffhanger. I swear to god you love to dangle those poor Characters over the cliff making us wait to see if you will drop them or not. I swear the word cliffhanger was invented with you in mind. When I first met the Wolf. I thought he's crazy but he has a connection with Morgan. It's crossed a few lines and he is mentally unstable but he wants her to win. Needs her to beat him. With all of that from the first book I am now left wondering what game it is he is playing. I can't seem to pick the direct he wants her to go or where he is coming from. But I do have an inkling of who it is. So I have two questions that pop up. Am I right? AND Why would she make it so obvious in book two when there are 5 in total? I am cheering her on to win. But then I sit there and wonder, would I do anything different if I were in her position? Would I follow Morgan’s exact footsteps? This has left me thinking if I was in her position I fight harder, use my skills to read the compass like I have been taught or would I freeze up in fear? Morgan is fearless and comes face to face with some truths she never saw coming. But it leaves her with even more questions on who is The Wolf. We do find out who it isn’t which eliminates one person. Reid is so emotionally strung out and you feel that. I am one to feel every emotion that the characters feel, so instead of reading this in a few hours, it took me days to read. I had to wait to get over what I was feeling so it wasn’t too much, but then again, when your wife is taken and you are the prime suspect when isn’t it too much? Reid holds it together and quiet successfully too until we are introduced to Morgan’s parents. Her father has an uncanny ability to tell if Reid is lying. Her Mother is a mess and so she should be. How could a writer be so mean to her fans and make us wait till the next book is released? This is so unfair. I feel like I am Reid, Waiting for the answers to finally be revealed but will it be too late? Only time will tell.

You think you're sure...but then are you really sure? And why is this happening? And what does this have to do with that? And why, why, why is the Wolf so diabolical and mean and psychologically torturing you? I mean Red? Belle Brooks has done it again with her second installment of The Game of Life with Two Footsteps. She sucks you in and you can feel the terror and helplessness and I was right next to Red in wanting to know WHY?!?! It's been a long time since I've yelled at a book to try to get her to just listen! Miss Brooks doesn't seem to answer any questions, and just gives us more to ponder. And more twists and turns that make it seem impossible that this is going to end well for anyone. I can't wait for the next one!

How do you escape something that you can't hear, or see? He is always there, one step ahead. In the second part of the Game of Life series, Morgan is playing the most important game of her life, with an elusive predator that calls himself The Wolf. He has made this game because she needs to pay for the wrongs she has made in life. At least that's what he says. He hunts her while she runs... but he always seems to know where she is. How do you win a game that is set up just for you to fail? Will Morgan figure out who he is before it's too late? If not, she may not make it out alive. Will her husband Reid and the police find her? Guess you'll have to read the book and find out!!! Belle has done it again! She has left me begging for more! I hate to love this woman for what she does to me with her words! Yet I can't seem to hate her. She has an amazing talent for making a movie play in your head while you read her books. The way she uses her words makes you feel like you are immersed in the story right along with the characters, and not just in this book, but ALL of her books! Two Footsteps was an amazing read! I was on the edge of my seat biting my nails the whole time! You NEED to read this book!!! But be careful, once you start you won't be able to put it down until the very end!!! I know I couldn't!

This is the second book in Belle Brooks - The Game of Life Series - yes you have to read them in order. But - you will not ever regret anything but the end of the book because she will leave you screaming! This installment picks up where book 1, left off. The roller coaster of emotions continues - and just when you think you have figured out who the culprit is - another twist will turn you another direction. As usual - Belle's writing is amazing. Her characters are vivid and believable. Her story lines are forward moving and will make you feel the feels - I cried a few times - be a Mom and live in Morgan's shoes for a few minutes - the fear is palatable! If you are looking for a new author to read - Belle Brooks is stellar! Looking for a twisting mystery that will keep you guess, this series all that and a bag of chips. Now - Ms. Brooks - next one please - before I lose my mind!

Holy mother of all suspense...this book is just wow! I am loving this gritty, thrilling ride! I am basking in this sweet torturous state awaiting the conclusion to this brilliantly written thriller. I am dying to know ALL the ANSWERS! Belle is a genius and has created the most insane intricate web of abduction, game of life and death, battle of the wills, dishonesty, infidelity and so much more. Morgan is amazingly strong heroine which I love. She in the midst of these brutally wild hunger games-esk tests after being abducted by the Wolf. She's suffering through hunger, dehydration, physical injuries and is running for her life. All the while thinking of her family, worrying about her kids and being suspicious of her husband. Sometimes praying to be put out of her misery. In that state, who wouldn't? However she continues to forge on and persevere. Even throw out some sass and sarcasm here and there. I love her character. Who is the Wolf? I have a guess but I am fully expected plenty more twists to this story to throw me off the trail of the real villain here. Morgan's husband Reid totally looks guilty. However I think he's being set up by the mastermind behind this whole scheme. Or he's just dumb enough to get himself at the top of the suspect list. Although I can't for the life of me understand what Morgan has done to deserve to be his 'unlucky' number thirteen. The Wolf is vicious and gets off on her struggle and suffering. It's sick and I was on the edge of my seat rooting for Morgan to outsmart him! I cannot wait to see what the Belle has in store for us next. I am the reader that usually waits for an entire series to be released so I don't have to wait to see what happens next. However this time I welcome it because I am in love with her writing. The wait is going to be sweet, sweet torture! I received Two Footsteps in advance and am happily providing my thoughts. Knowing this was book 2 in a series, I bought and read book 1 first. So glad I did. I loved every word!

Belle Brooks has stepped up her game with Two Footsteps. The suspense sucked me in and I was trying to guess who the bad guy might be. There were details dropped about both Morgan and Reid that had me a bit shocked, but it started to explain why their marriage was in trouble to begin with. But is it enough to explain why the Wolf has dragged them into this wicked game? I zipped through this in no time at all and I'm looking forward to getting some answers to questions I have. Who is the Wolf? What did Morgan and Reid do to cause the Wolf to take notice? And what's the deal with West being on the Wolf's radar? I can't wait to find out.

I was so excited to start book two in The Game of Life series after the way Belle ended the first story, and I had a feeling Two Footsteps will end in a similar way (Major Cliffhanger!). I was so right. I found myself yelling at the end (in a good way), dying to know what happens next. It was such an emotional rollercoaster that takes you on a wild journey. I love these characters and the storyline/world Belle has created with them. Even Reid is starting to grow on me compared with what I felt towards him in the first book (he wasn’t my favourite in that one). I love the way The Wolf operates, I love getting inside his head and knowing the way he thinks. Although he’s the big bad wolf and twisted in his own way, I still love his character. I’m beyond ready to know what happens in book 3 I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book
