The author does a great job of creating an actually believable survival story of a young boy who must rely on his wits, and not supernatural intervention, when he is stranded in the Canadian wilderness with his dog and just his 'two hands and a knife.' I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and good adventure. This would make a great gift idea for any children on your gift list. I'm looking forward to Gibson's next novel.
