Overview

Two of a Kind by Destiny Wallace

Do opposites attract or do they end up going on to different things? Sanai Jenkins meets her new neighbor Jake Miller and she's instantly attracted to the tall, blonde haired, blue-eyed sports writer. Sanai fights her attraction because she is currently dating a handsome, and more importantly black, doctor. So what if Jake is attractive, and doesn't mind that she loves a beer and a game more than most women? Jake doesn't make it easy for Sanai to deny her feelings. He teases and tempts her and isn't put off by her judgmental mother, extremely involved older sister, and notably absent boyfriend. How often does a man come across his perfect match?

This book is short but it does more hop, skips and jumps than a jackrabbit. I was hoping for more conflict with the X but it was just brushed over quickly. Would have made it interesting if he tried to fight for her more. Definitely disappointed with this book. I would skip it.

This book took me by surprise. Usually short stories are always about sex but this actually had an interesting storyline. It was an enjoyable read.

It was a good book but I always hate overbearing, nosey family members who love to put their noses in grown folks business!! I too was hoping that there would be more conflict with the ex, but oh well. There was plenty of drama just with the two main characters. I enjoyed the book overall.
