About the Author

Three times awarded the distinguished MacDowell Colony Artists Fellowship, Deacon-Wren's screenplays with co-writer Lupos Sobre-Vega include "Sign Language," "Sun Moon Stars," "January One," "I.D.," "Rock & Roll Radio" and "Two of Hearts." He authored "The New Bijou Soft Shoe," produced at Symphony Space, New York and the Odyssey Theater, Los Angeles and "The Chair at the End of the Room," for which he won the National Repertory Theater award. He is also co-author of the play "And Flights of Angels Sing Thee" and co-creator of two television series, "There Goes the Neighborhood" and "Street Time."
Deacon-Wren was Associate Artistic and Managing Director of South Coast Repertory where he directed Harold Pinter's "The Birthday Party," "Our Town" by Thornton Wilder and "Feiffer's People," among others. He was founding Artistic Director of the experimental venue Open End Theater where his productions included "All the Lonely People," "What If" and "Adventures in a Paper Bag".
Represented as a playwright by the legendary Audrey Wood and Helen Harvey in New York, and as a screenwriter by Ilse Lahn of the Paul Kohner Agency in Los Angeles, he is currently repped by Leroy Bobbitt of Bobbitt and Roberts in Los Angeles.
LUPOS SOBRE-VEGA Sobre-Vega is co-screenwriter with Warren John Deacon-Wren on five projects, including "Two of Hearts" which was a finalist in the Beverly Hills International Screenwriting Festival and the Triggerstreet Top Ten. Most importantly, Lupos is a metaphysical conduit, who emphasizes raising the kundalini and "awakening." He conducts a meditation group in the United States of America. His spiritual documentary called A Deeper Sense of Surrender was released in 1991. He is the creator and main composer of APOCRYPHO, a breakthrough Harsh Electro / Futurepop band. ADSR Musicwerks released the debut CD to wide critical acclaim. The group's recordings appear on a variety of compilations worldwide. ADSR recently released his solo project, a various-artists album titled "Electro Radiovengeance," featuring key contributors to the Harsh Electro and Futurepop world. DJ VEX, one of his "Underground" aliases, is celebrated by music insiders as the "godfather" of West Coast Acid House. His releases include BEAT PER BAR's "That's Nice" and "Yahh...Money!," and 4 A.M.'s "I Love It" and "Just Wait and See," distributed worldwide by MUV Underground U.S.A. and Household Records.
