Overview

Two finds vocalist Alex Band and instrumentalist Aaron Kamin ditching their peripheral Calling brethren in favor of going it alone. It's also the follow-up to Camino Palmero, their impossibly successful debut that featured the lite FM hit "Wherever You Will Go." That song's formula is revisited repeatedly here, as Band and Kamin unleash a neutered firestorm of MOR rock. "Our Lives," "Things Will Go My Way," and "Chasing the Sun" all drift straightforwardly between Matchbox Twenty and U2, incorporating elements of both but rarely making much of an impression beyond a resigned sigh. The late-album entry "Dreaming in Red" offers a bit of sass, but not enough to scare anyone. Two should help the Calling keep whatever fans it made with Camino Palmero.

I absolutely love II. The first day I bought it, I had to get the lyrics out and learn all the songs. Alex and Aaron's music is so much deeper than a lot of the music out today. It's also nice because it's music I would feel comfortable playing in front of just about any audience due to no bad language or questionable subject matter. The Calling is a great band that is dedicated to making incredible music and staying in touch with their fans. I would recommend this album to anyone!!

Two is so great, I cant belive it. It contains both slow songs and some more "faster" songs, how great. As a The Calling-fan I say that I love it, but even if I werent a TC-fan I would still love it, it fits everyone and everyone can relate to the lyrics. These guys are so talanted that I wonder if its true sometimes. a "have to buy", for sure. BUY IT

The new album, for which we were waiting so long, is just great. The songs are very emotional and there is a song for every situation in your live. You have to smile when hear the song "Chasing the sun" and you can cry with songs like "If only" and "Your hope". Alex` voice is also much better( if this is possible) than on the first record. He catches the highest and the deepest parts and i can`t stop listening this record. The voice, the songs and the music makes this album the best I´ve ever heard. Everbody should have a copy of it!

Well what can I say “The Calling” have yet again produced a true masterpiece, a new album that is even better then the first “Camino Palmero.” The album TWO has something for everyone whatever mood you’re in, it has your rock and your romantic tunes!!!! My favourite song from this album is “Anything” when you sit and listen to the words you can just imagine it being sung to a loved one, it’s beautiful. And the very romantic “If only” runs a close second. Alex sings it with such passion and emotion. It’s also got your uplifting songs, Dreaming in Red, Our Lives, Chasing the Sun. I couldn’t recommend a better album, so if you liked their last album you will love “TWO”.

*Wow i dont even know what to say about this album its so incredibly amazing. i fell in love with this band the first time i listened to their first album but this album rox even more. Alex's vocals are awsome. Very deep hypnotic and also sexy. I love how the rhythm, the beat and the instruments are put together. I think everyone can relate to the songs. The meaning of each song just blew my mind away, so i highly recommend everyone to go and buy it. Their first album is really great as well. I truly love their music.

Alex Band and Aaron Kamin, although in favour of going it alone without past band members, have once again been able to produced an amazing record!

well i think its beautiful. touched me anyway and im sure so many others too. its different somehow with a more optimistic and upbeat twist. it tackled issues in great variations where every living, breathing person can relate to. i'll say it again, its beautiful. great music, wonderful vocals, and real, straight from the heart lyrics.

I think this is the second part of Camino Palmero, cause its realy similar, but they have their differences. Its great they don´t play songs with the same theme, but I prefer the love songs cause I think its the calling strong side. I love almost every song but two. I reccomend it.

I must say it is very hard to say which "one" song is my favourite because they are ALL equally brilliant! Yes we did wait for a long while for there second album but it was well worth the wait and you can tell that they put a lot of thought into their music. The lyrics of every song speak to so many different people and it's about everyday life. Brilliant!

This CD is absolutely amazing. The whole album is so easy to listen to, and is packed with gorgeous melodies and stunning lyrics. If you enjoyed the last album, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one to you. In fact, if you've enjoyed any of The Calling's previous stuff, you'll probably love this. All of the songs are amazing but one of my favourites is 'Your Hope'which in some ways is quite similar to 'Stigmatized' on the first album. Basically, i'd recommend this to anyone, and then if you enjoy it, buy Camino Palmero too!

I can't really say one album is better than the other as they are both very different. I think if you liked Camino Palmero you will like this one too. The songs are very different some are darker and some are very uplifting. Alex has a fantastic voice and Aaron is a great guitarist.

This CD is totally awesome! I thought that I couldn't love anything more than The Calling's first album, Camino Palmero, but boy was I wrong! This CD far exceeds the first in every way possible. If you loved Camino Palmero than Two is definately a must have for your CD collection.
