The Ultimate Risk by Chantelle Shaw

For better…or for worse?

When she sees Lanzo di Cosimo again after ten years, Gina Bailey's pulse races at the memories of their heady affair—a time when life seemed perfect.

Now she is far from being the carefree innocent she was before. Since married and abused by her ex-husband, and with her dreams of a family dashed, she's built up barriers around her heart.

But Lanzo's sweet caress implies that he wants Gina for the long term. Can she afford to surrender in the hope that he might protect her, cherish her, for better or worse…?

About the Author

Chantelle Shaw enjoyed a happy childhood making up stories in her head. Always an avid reader, Chantelle discovered Mills & Boon as a teenager and during the times when her children refused to sleep, she would pace the floor with a baby in one hand and a book in the other! Twenty years later she decided to write one of her own. Writing takes up most of Chantelle’s spare time, but she also enjoys gardening and walking. She doesn't find domestic chores so pleasurable!

A slow and tedious read.

I agree with the previous reviews in that I don' t approve of dads turning their back in their own child/children. I know there were extenuating circumstances and he did step up financially but still. As with all these types of books, it all worked out in the end.

I dont want to give away the story but Lanzo didnt "Man" up when he should've and to me that is inexcusable! Most women dont ignore it like Gina did which isnt very realistic! She didnt even make him sweat it out.
