I am a 7th grader and loved this book. The author relates to the average teenage girl without assuming the normal stereotypes and is usually right on the dot. Her advice helps greatly and I always feel refreshed and confident after the yoga poses. Sometimes when something is bothering me, I will take the book into my room, look up the chapter closest to what I am dealing with, and read straight through it. I always feel better after wards. This book does not even seem like anything informational, and it isn't one you have to read straight through. You go through the chapters as you need them.

As a previously experienced yogi, I was impressed by Ms. Cooper's successful incorporation of the aspects of the vast world of yoga to which today's teens can relate. While informative, this selection simultaneously made me feel like a capable individual, able to achieve my own yogic and general life pursuits. I prefer this author's tone to that of the authors of yoga books I have previously encountered. I strongly recommend this book to teenage girls with a specific interest in yoga and to teenage girls just struggling to find their place in the world alike.

I am a beginner in yoga and had my daughter read this too. Very straight forward and liked the simplicity. Have recommended it to others and wish it was still in print.

This booknis amazing! it has amazing yoga poses and really helps boost self confidence. The breathing techniques alone are fabulous! I would suggest this book for every teen girl out there whether you're stressed or not!

This book proves that yoga is for anybody and everybody. It especially speaks to teen girls. The author, Evan Cooper, isn' t some Tibetan monk she' s a real person. And it is evident in this book

I picked this up at the public library's used book sale. Even though I am much older than the target audience, this book is going to be one I use frequently. It's the best intro to yoga book I've seen. Very easy to understand, nicely illustrated, and doesn't bog down into the history/spirituality behind the practices. I'm not made to feel stupid (as I was in a beginner yoga class some years ago) and as a result, my interest in yoga is now renewed and I'll be practicing with joy and confidence.
