For the latest entry in this popular puzzle book series, Uncle John recruited some of the country’s top puzzle creators and asked them to put together a year's worth of games to get the brain bubbling and the synapses popping. There are no tricks here, just plenty of creatively diverting games aimed at both the wildly wordy and the less seasoned scribe.

Overview

For the latest entry in this popular puzzle book series, Uncle John recruited some of the country’s top puzzle creators and asked them to put together a year's worth of games to get the brain bubbling and the synapses popping. There are no tricks here, just plenty of creatively diverting games aimed at both the wildly wordy and the less seasoned scribe. BRI's crew of wordsmiths have whipped up a challenging set of crosswords, anagrams, sudoku, trivia quizzes, and much more for this pencil-chewing collection (erasers encouraged). Some of the brain-teasers are short, some are long — but all will test the reader's puzzle-solving stamina. There's no obligation to follow the one-a-day rule, advises Uncle John; readers are encouraged to work on all 365 at once if they prefer!

Having enjoyed puzzle books in the Uncle John's Bathroom series in the past, I had high hopes for this set of logic puzzles. There is a good variety of puzzle types, but I found the formatting to be a bit scrunched and the quality of the puzzles was uneven. The running factoids on the bottom of each page are quirky and fun, and true logic puzzle enthusiasts will probably love this book. I'll certainly buy books in this series again, but I will probably stick to the crosswords ans sudoku going forward.

I bought it because my friend told me to and when she did I was like ugh. But when I brought it home all of my roomates when crazy debating over an answer it was a blast. I recommend it to people who look for a good time when Tv is broken or you're just bored.

I purchased this book to entertain my teenaged boys (and their father) while traveling. They rolled their eyes when I handed it to them on the plane but they all had a good time with out throughout our weeklong trip.
