Okay...just finished Unclear and Present Danger by Michelle Cameron...I'm 1/2 and 1/2 on this one...there are somethings I like...and there are DEFINITELY somethings I dislike...it has some "slow patches"...a LOT of NEGATIVITY involving race (kind of a BIG turn-off)...there's a bit of mystery...the heroine, Solange Montgomery is DEFINITELY a hot-tempered, live wire...Ali Mark has his hands full TRYING to keep up with her antics throughout...when Ali and Solange are HAPPY...and everything is going GREAT...their relationship is WONDERFUL...but this couple has some MAJOR issues when the "boat is rocked"...which makes me wonder how they will EVER survive being married...it's nice catching up with Jet, Grace, lil' Miss Ebony and her little brother Livingston...IF anyone decides to read this...you might want to read When Lightning Strikes, first.

This novel is so realistic. Ali and Solange are in love and plan to marry. Then like most men he decides that he wants to change things by going to be a sniper. Solange ends up doing all the work to keep their relationship going and then just when things get right, people who really shouldn't be apart of their lives cause confusion. The main character , a orporate employee also has to deal wwith drama in her own life by having to lay people off. Any time I read one of this authors books I love how is separates the trash that is pout there and deals with real problems people have today.

This is the story of Solange an African American woman and Ali an Arab American man, their coming together and staying together. Solange is a "corporate woman" with a difficult job and Ali is a man motivated to become an expert marksman (he is a police officer). Sparks fly because of the racial differences and family matters intrude. Love triumphs in the end as it does with all good romances. Read the book!
