This was my first erotica purchase. Although that is not why I purchased the book. It was the characters that drew me in. I felt that the main character and I were simular so there was a connection already there. I love the fact that the interracial pairing was black woman and Native American man, and that it is set in modern times. The supernatural twist made it magical and suspenseful. I really enjoyed reading this book. I wish there was more pairings in other books such as this. The X Rated parts are delicious (perhaps it's because its my first erotica book, and I have not read anything like it before) and I believe there are 3 or 4 of them. It is a easy and fast read. I would recommend this book to any of my girlfriends. Even though most of the book is predictable, it is still refreshing to see the characters pull through their dilemmas and learn something new about themselves and eachother. I have to admit, after reading this book I went to my local coffee shop just to see if I could find a man like Takoda. It didn't happen. Oh well, maybe some of you will.
